My doctor has everyone sign a contract that they will exercise for 30 minutes EVERYDAY so I set my ticker to reflect that as a goal....

I am newly banded, and not even had a fill yet so it seems like the weight is so slow coming off

Hopefully honoring the contract with ole doc will help

I'm joining in this month! I am still recovering from the plastic surgery I had on June 12, so I have to ease back in to my exercise routine. I'm not allowed to lift weights yet so I'll commit to walking for 30 minutes at least five days a week.

I did any easy 30 minute walk this morning.

As always, I'm in. Bad start to the month though. I hit the gym last night for my leg workout (12 reps each exercise/6 exercises/3 circuits) and 1 hr 25 minutes of cardio. Then, went and umped 4 games. Got home and in bed at 11 pm. Couldn't get to sleep until after 1 am due to my legs KILLING me from that much.:smile2:

Just no way I was getting up at 4:30 this morning for cardio. No lifting today. So, I'll just take the day off.

I did find a 5k run on Friday down in Des Moines where I am visiting family. So, I'm signing up for that one.

Otherwise, I am committed to lifting 4 nights a week (except for my recuperating week off from lifting next week. 6 weeks on, 1 week off) and cardio at least 6 days a week.

This is a great idea, thanks! I just joined the site yesterday so the timing is perfect.

I am committing to at least 2 (60 or 90 min) Prana Power Yoga classes per week and 5 days a week walking 30 min. Love the exercise tickers, gotta get me one! If anyone is in the Boston/Cambridge MA area and wants to try and walk every once in a while with a partner, shoot me an email:

Hello...I would like to join the July challenge! I need to get back into the swing of things. I am going with a total of 25 treadmill miles this month, and anything else I can fit in will be a bonus.

Tonight I did 3.18 miles on the treadmill.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello

I am in

I will commit to at least 100 miles of cycling per week.

(lets hope it does not rain all month) But I have an indoor set up as well for my bike, so I am ok with that if I had to.

My goal was to hit 1200 miles by end of September. I am a little short of that right now.

You guys are great, and WOOHOOO> Lets hit the road!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
