Long we are weight soul mates.. I started at 305 also and guess what I am 5' 9"!!! Pretty funny!!!!!! Congrats girl!

Me too!!! Mine was on sale at Kohls for $69.99 plus I got a $10 coupon to go back since I spent $50. you didn't get the red one at Kohls did you? LOL

LOL! I had the same long debate too on whether or not I should squeeze into the Large vs. XL! I instead chose the less expensive jacket just in case I need that Large before the end of the season.

Too funny!! then can I ask what you set your goal weight as and how you came up with it? Mine is to get me a BMI that is 'normal' and not overweight, and that is 169 however, my surgeon said anything below 180 is good.

Hey there... I am shooting for 176 which is what I weighed after I had my two girls and I felt awesome.. I guess anywhere between 165- 185 is where I am shooting for. At 165 I am skin and bones... Today I am 228 I have to update my ticker. My hubby weighs 227 and it frustrates me to no end!!! I am hoping by sunday to weigh less than him..lol..

Same here, Allie! I am one pound heavier than my guy and can't wait to weigh less than he does. He's so sweet, took me to the store to get a pair of blue jeans tonite since I don't have any 16's. I tried on several styles and settled for a petite 16 that I wont have to hem up. Then just for kicks, I grabbed a pair of the same kind in 14 and Holy Cow!!!! They fit very nicely, not tight enough to cut off circulation. a 14!!! I was stunned. I musta told him Honey, these are 14's about 6 times. He just said yep and grinned at me. I still cant believe it. I feel sexy!!! Well, until I see the belly I still got. But its going! Wow am I jazzed!!! Can't remember when I last wore 14's. Probably back in college. Lets lose that one more pound, it will be such a milestone! Let me know when you get there.:smile2:

I just passed hubby and it felt so good. He's 6'6 and 235, so I am officially lighter than him. It feels so good to know that.

Allie, sounds like we are shooting for close to the same goal. It's been forever so I am not exactly sure where I want to be. But figure I'll know when I get in that ball park.

Strike.. congrats on the 14's woo hoo! I am trying not to weigh myself everyday.. I seem to have gotten compulsive with it. Go figure.. me compulsive..lol. So instead of weighing myself 30 times a day, I am trying to weigh every 3 days. My family was getting worried about how obsessed I was. If I ate anything I would run up and weigh in. Bahh.. I know it's crazy. Then if it went up even a smidgen I was depressed. So my compulsive eating has merged to compulsive weighing. I have to find something else. I used to smoke of course compulsively.. 2-3 packs a day! My father passed from lung cancer and it was a wake up call for me so I quit cold turkey... and gained 130 pounds.. nice. Why can't I just be normal (I guess there is no normal). Wow that was some rambling..lol..

Long congrats on being less than hubby!!!! My man is 6' but he's a body builder so he carry's most of his weight in his chest and arms. mmmmm.. sorry i was thinking about last night.. I love being thinner.. being able to do things in different ways (blushing) is so friggin awesome!!!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Long ~ Too funny, I did get mine at Kohls! Not the red one though, red is not my color. After a long debate with myself on the color, I chose a brown short double-breasted, belted trench. Could be worn Spring or Fall. Mine was half off for only $50 and I got the $10 coupon too. I actually worked at Kohl's for about a year in the Jewelry dept. for a second job. Just quit a few months back, because it was conflicting with all the extra hours I put in with my "real" job.

hey there.. also try papaya enzymes.. you can get them from GNC they are chewable and taste pretty good.. i think it's like 2.99 for 50.. they really help when stuck. I try not to use them because I found that I was using them to overeat things.. bahhhh.. so when i get stuck I have been forcing myself to deal with it so that I learn to not overeat or eat to quickly.. but the enzymes do work.!!

Congrats on the 50# milestone. I bet you feel wonderful. Hate getting stuck. It's only happened twice and HURT for about an hour. I have never taken anything to get unstuck. I just ride it out. It's a great reminder to chew and eat slowly:blush:

My daily news for today!!! I'm on my way home from the best vacation I've ever had!!! I spent a week in Key West and after losing almost 70 pounds I can finally do activities with my family. I went sailing on a catamaran, rented wave runners, and the best part...I went parasailing. That's right I had my fat butt hanging in the air up 300' and it was awesome. I never would've done that 4 months ago. Life is changing so fast and so am I. This is incredible! I love my band!! Its true what they say about my new birthday, June 9, 2008, I finally started living again!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
