Hi there! Banded in May 2008

Stumbled on this website when looking for information. Looks great! A virtual support group and lots of good information. I just had my first fill a few days ago and it hasn't done anything. I was comforted to see other people sharing this same experience.

how much of a fill did you recieve??? was it under video flouroscopy or did you drink a liquid to see how fluid was moving through or did the doctor arbitrarily just put a limited amount of fill in like .5cc or 1cc. just curious. my sister was seeing a US surgeon who only filled or adjusted her band with small bits of fluid at a time and she did not loose much weight very quickly at all. Untill she went to a separate fill doctor who just specializes in post surgical treatment/fills or adjustments.

An advanced practice nurse gave me 3 ccs. He said he was being aggressive bc I'm small (4'11").

He just palpated me to feel for it which hurt like hell; esp since he could not find it the first time after a lot of poking. He had to do it a second time, more poking and finally found it. I'm still a bit sore. he

said next time it shouldn't be so hard to find since now he knows where it is.

that's interesting about a dr. for fills only.

I have the lap band they advertise on lapband.com. not sure how much it holds. I was banded in CT 4-12-08.
