Banded on June/New to forum

Hi, I'm HildaM. I was banded on June 13, in Juarez, Mex. At first I was scared, especially because I was not sure to have surgery out of the USA. It went great, is only a 3.5 hour drive from were I live. Everyone in the hospital was so nice and friendly. I met a few people that got banded the same day.

There was this lady on her 60's, she came all the way from Alaska. Anyways I wanted to introduce myself to all of you. Friday is my last day on full liquids. I feel great, no more shoulder pain or any other pain related. I haven't weight myself so I don't know if I actually lost any weight at all. I'm already thinking about my first fill, anybody knows any fill doctors in Albuquerque, NM

Welcome! This site is the greatest I have found to get answers and opinions of others. Very helpful. Good luck to you - hang in there as it is a great decision to be banded!!!!!

Have you scheduled your first fill appointment? I know the first fill is suppose to be 6-8 weeks after surgery. Do you know if I can have a fill before 6 weeks? I was kind of sad this morning. First time I weight myself after surgery, it's been 13 days and I haven't lost any weight. I gained two pounds. I don't understand. I'm following the post-op diet. I don't feel any restriction anymore, I feel hungry most of the time. What could be wrong?
