LapBand surgery at Ellis Hospital?

I have my date of August 27th with Dr. Panemanglore at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Is anyone else here going there?

NO I am not being banded at Ellis--but I do know where it is--my mom lives in Cohoes. I am sure you will do great! Good luck!

Hi everyone,

I am considering the lapband. Many of my friends and family feel I do not need the surgery but after living 12 years of being obsese. I feel this is the right time. I am 60lbs overweight(BMI-36), I have high blood pressure and very bad heartburn. I tried all the diets and the only time I was successful was when I found a local doctor who prescribed me diet pills(phen-phen),in which I had to pay cash for and they came in a small white envelope. I am tired of the yo-yo dieting. I am just wondering does anyone know how long is it takes to get an initial appointment, after attending the seminar. I was at the seminar on 8/21/08.:crying:

It doesn't take too long to get a consult appointment ~ you'll probably be called next week with one.

With everything going on in my life right now, I had to cancel my appointment for surgery.

Good luck to all!!
