How long on liquids to break a plateau?

I've seen a lot of posts on this site recommending a liquid diet to break a plateau. How long do you need to be on it? Should my calories also decrease? When I do liquids after a fill, I am usually at around 800 cal. But 2 days on liquids does not always move the scale. Any advise would be appreciated.

Liquids is one way to break a plateau. Hope someone will chime in but liquids never worked for me.

Sugar did. Eating a doughnut and a Coke (or as much as I could of 1)...that caused my body to kickstart weightloss again.

Others have their food they found to jumpstart their weightloss again. Maybe they will post what works for them.
