Ho Long Were You Told To Wait To Start Trying To Get Pregnant?

My Surgeon Has Told Me That I Should Wait At Least 18 Months To Start Trying Again. I Am Soon To Be Banded On June 24 Th And My 18 Month Mark Would Be Jan 2010. I Have A Realy Bad Case Of Baby Fever. I Am Scared If I Am Not Able To Make My Hubby A Daddy That He May Leave Me Down The Road. He Has Been So Supportive Of Me In All My Struggles With Pcos And Now The Lap Band, But He Really Wants To Be A Daddy. I Just Dont Know If I Can Personaly Wait 18 Months. If I Reach My Goal Weight By 12 Months I Hope We Will Be Able T To Start Trying Again For A Baby. Im Just Curious If I Could Start Sooner..any Advice Will Help Me Thanks

My surg says 12 months! But if he loves you he will wait! He's waited this long he should be ecstatic that you are getting yourself to and health 2gether before u get preggo... think about do you wanna play with kids at the park or do you want to be the fat mommy on the bench watching... yeah I not a good picture! I am happy to wait my 12 months it's like a challenge LOL to make to goal so that I can have a nice cute sexy pregnancy. My hubby is a soldier so the overseas tour may delay our "trying" period but as soon as he gets home it's on LOL as it is with most couples when the spouse returns from war it's baby making time LOL! So my doc says a yr ... most docs say a yr ... we had a thread like this awhile back though search through the PCOS board and i'm sure you will find it. Love and Blessings APPLES!
