anyone employed with the state of illinois get approved for a lap band?

Anyone working for the State of Illinois find an insurance/process that will cover the lap band? I'm Health Alliance but they don't cover so I don't think that I can appeal. Just checking to see what other people are doing/thinking to try.

    i work for IDOT and i have BlueCross and it looks good as far as them paying- but i am also alot over weight
