My girlie gene is weak!

I am not a very good girl, I'm afraid. :tongue2: I thought I'd make this thread for people like me to ask the rest of you stupid questions that females are already supposed to know the answer to but we don't.

So my first question is:

What does it means when someone says their skirt is "cut on the bias"? I read that all the time in chick lit books and it drives me crazy because I can't figure out why someone would know or care about that and why the author thinks it's important to say.

I've often said, if I could find a place that would pay me what I make now to clean, I'd dump my paying job in a heartbeat. Sadly, though lots of people want cleaning done, they don't want to pay me a comparable salary!

Ohhhhh ok. Thank you! Now I know what those are called!!!!!

no problem, lol. i wear them and my PINK muckin boots (think wader type boots, just not as tall) and my hubby just laughs. everyone laughs at my pink muckin boots but i like 'em!

tapshoes, you can also come to my house whenever you want!! LOL!!

My aunt cleans houses for a living. She actually makes good money. You just have to find the right people to work for and not compromise on your price. But it can be a challenge.

I have a magnet on my fridge that says "Make yourself at home. Feel free to clean" I hate house work.

The gal that comes and cleans for me makes very good money. I am probably the only person she cleans for that

is not rich. She cleans for a lot of retired people, and one

lady left her a Cadilac (sp?) in her will. All the people give her fabulous Christmas presents as well.

Wow thats pretty cool. I know a home health aide who has been left three houses and she is now relatively well off because of that.
