Eating day of fill?

I know people have said they eat lightly for a couple days after a fill, but should I do anything different before? Ie, not eat for a few hours before the fill?

My first fill is this afternoon, which means a few hours post lunch. I planned on eating lightly today and then following the fill with a day of liquids and a day of mushies.

With my 3 fills, that's pretty much what I've done--very light breakfast or lunch before the fill, then easy does it the next couple of days. That way, during the fill, you don't feel weighed down with food. I can't just eat nothing beforehand, though. I'd be crazy cranky at the appointment :cursing:

my fills have been a.m. appts and my doc says no solids before your fill (on that day). liquids are ok. after the fill he recommends that the next meal be a liquid/soup and if i'm able to tolerate that fine, then to go ahead back to solids.

Thanks! I had my fill about 3 hours after lunch and did just fine. No problems. I had soup for dinner and chili for lunch today and so far, so good. I can tell I'm tighter, but I'll give it a week or so before I decide if this is enough. (I only had her add 1 cc instead of the usual 2cc for a first fill since I've already had restriction.)
