I had breast cancer with tram flap reconstruction 15 years ago. Am contemplating lapband. Anyone out there have a similar situation?

I too had tram flap reconstructive surgery about 10 years ago. My surgery date is set for June 12th. My surgeon only questioned the plastic mesh that was placed under the skin to prevent hernias. I'm getting him my plastic surgeons records of the procedure and we are good!

He said that kind of procedure is all just under the surface and not a problem.

Oh! Thanks so much for your reply! I have been fretting because my lapband surgeon didn't seem overly concerned! Now I feel better...like getting a 2nd opinion! I'm schedule for banding on June 4 unless I have a nervous breakdown before! Good luck to you too!
