WATER ... It's sposed to be good for ya!

Now, honestly, I do like water.. Not a problem getting me to drink it. However, how in the world does anyone manage to get in 8 glasses a day??? If you have any secret tricks, hints, etc. I would surely appreciate it.

Secondly -- Can anyone tell me what the rationale is behind waiting 30 minutes to an hour after drinking BEFORE you eat? I can certainly understand why you would wait AFTER eating but what is the reasoning behind before? :confused2:

THANKS!

It is possible to drink too much water. But it is a MASIVE amount, seriously. The only people I have ever heard of having problems are kids who were on XTC and didn't eat for over 24 hours and drank the masive amount that the extreme dry mouth induced. I don't think you really need to worry too much.

You can get Water intoxication if you drink too much water too quickly and water intoxication can be fatal.

Some lady in our area drank a lot of water trying to win a Wii and she died from it. Also in our area, there was a fraternity hazing incident that resulted in a death.

However, it's not just about how much you drink but how fast. Your body can process an tremendous amount of water in a day -- something like 15 liters -- if you just spread it out.

Wow, thanks for your responses...I do try to spread it out during the day, but I just want to make sure I don't flush out too much of the nutrients and electrolytes my body needs.

I'll monitor it and drink slower....

Thanks for your input!!
