Hello to everyone! I am new to the forum, but have already come across some really insightful information.
I am 28 years old & 5'10"...from the Seattle area. I was banded on February 6, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Washington (Dr. Srikanth). Surgery went really well. Unfortuanately I developed a blood clot in my leg, and subsequently 2 clots in my lungs, and was hospitalized for a week. I hope I don't scare off any potential bandsters! These can happen after any surgery, but I am wondering if any other Bandsters suffered from the same complication?
So far my Lap-Band experience has been great! With the Protein shakes and all the Vitamins, I feel wonderful. To date I have lost 59 pounds. For the first time in a long time I have been able to work out and actually see some results.
I haven't had much time to read through the different postings, but so far I have found the recipe section to be very helpful. Thank you to all for sharing your experiences and wisdom...this is a great support system!
