Ok so I'm 16yrs old & My life isn't exactly the best but recently one of my doctors said that he'd be willing to approve me for the Lap band but I still may need other doctors approval & that definately makes me worried..anyways I found this site after researching many things on the lapband & I find it very comforting because theres people in my situation or that have already been in my situation I'm so greatful that I found this place & never imagined anything like this for teens,I hope that within 2yrs I'll have a success story of my own :wink_smile:

Good luck. I hope that it works out for you, and that you are able to get coverage. Another good thing to do would be to look into counseling. If your "life isn't exactly the best" sometimes its nice to talk to someone and learn how to deal with whatever is going on in your life. I have found it very helpful in the past. I'm 16 too and I have just started my process of getting band. I too hope to have a success story in two years before I go off to college. I'm hoping I can kinda start over in college.
