HELP! Swallowed Gum and it won't go down!

I really need some advise if any of you have done this.

I accidentally swallowed a piece of gum at 11:30 today, I have not been able to eat anything or keep even fluids in. I have voimited, and slimed myself many times over the past hours. I called the Dr and he said either wait till morning and just see what happens, or go to the emergency room and maybe one of the Dr.'s on call can help.

Has any of you experienced this before and if so what did you do?

Thanks for your help!

wew! good tip. scary stuff. i never thought about that. they should make throat plungers lol. nvm. that's gross. haha

PS, glad that you feel better. sounds so scary.

Wow, I had no idea this could be a problem. I usally have 1/2 piece a day. I think I'll agree with Luscious and get some tiny mints. Thanks for the info, and sharing your experience. VERY glad to hear you have relief.

Glad, glad, glad that you got this fixed and that it was as simple as removing your fill. However, you should give up the gum. There have been lots of cases that were serious enough to have to have endoscopy to retreive the gum. It's on the list of things that you CAN'T (or at least shouldn't) do anymore.

Be careful, because we don't want you to be hurt!
