Who's getting banded in June

Recommended Posts

Apple! Today is your day! What are you doing on here???

You have a better way to pass the time, Kathy?????? I leave in an hour for the hospital. Surgery at 1:30pm. I am actually feeling very calm and was yesterday also. Slept pretty good. Only thing left to do is jump in the shower, shave my pits, grab my comfy capris and I'm on to a new life!!! Oh yeah, better find my cute sandals and then I'm ready to get into band life.

I am so psyched for this. I have vowed to follow every band rule, take this day by day and have a positive attitude.

Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes. Again, to all you having the procedure today and tomorrow...Blessings and a speedy recovery. Please....everyone keep us informed on how you are doing. It helps so much to know how each and everyone of you are doing. I know that there are going to be some great friendships that come together with our June Jazzies. I soooooooooo look forward to taking this journey with all of you. Karen:eek:

I am going to be banded tomorrow. I am so excited to get on with my life and move forward with it all. I have felt like I have been in a holding pattern for the last couple weeks! But I did loose almost 20 lbs on the liquid diet my surgeon requires so that is a great motivator!

I am not sure about my surgery time, the office will call me today with the time! I am keeping busy here at work today to make the time pass quicker. I even dusted all the file cabinets! LOL The girls here are laughing at me!

I will let you all know my surgery time when I know!:thumbup::lol:

Ha Ronda!. I am trying to keep busy too!.. am doing all my awful paperwork .. just to stay busy. My surgery isn't until 4pm (spain time) tomorrow. I leave the house at 1.30pm. I am even contemplating teaching in the morning just so it flies by a bit quicker!!.. not sure I can hang around my room and repack my bags half a dozen times!.. taking the kids to school is probably my best bet! ..

GOOD LUCK!!. and happy dusting!! lol (just off to re-organise and alphabetise my library!! )

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!.. see you on the OTHER SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S Thank the lord my NERVOUS day was yesterday!> I am soo excited today. I spoke with my two sisters and both of my parents last night so am feeling confident and reassured!. All of them (none with a weight problem) were VERY excited for me and all said " you are doing the right thing".. so they are here with me in spirit!!..

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
