Banded +4 Days diarrhea and reflux..Normal?

I was banded four days ago. Seems that everyday I have :frown: diarrhea at least 4-5 times per day and at night, when lying down, get reflux coming up my throat into the mouth. Is this normal ? Drinking decaf tea, water, bullion, and sugar free jello.

I was banded on 4/30 and have had similar problems, My reflux, was just a feeling that something was comming up, I found that if I stayed upright for a while, and drank slower it helped. I haven't heard anything about the diarrhea.

Check with your doctor and ask if you can take Benefiber. I read somewhere this stirred in with Water is totally clear and is OK during the band liquid period. But I'm not sure so ask your doctor. Might help though.

Unfortunately both normal, but the good news is that it resolves. You have put your body through surgery/anesthesia and the whole process really messes with your body.
