Congratulations to everyone recently banded! I agree with susanm, in that I admire those of you going back to work so soon. I was banded on the 10th and am still very weak and lethargic. Work starts up on the 23rd, and I plan to add Protein Shakes to my Clear Liquids on that date, or I would not get through the day!

Wow...My post-op diet from Kaiser requires that I have one Protein shake a day for the first two weeks. I don't know how I would do without it. I didn't realize that other doctors want you on a clear liquid, and didn't include the Protein. Would it be cheating to drink one of those pre-made Isopure drinks? You can see through them and they pack a walloping 40 grams of protein per 20 oz.

I Want To Wish Everyone A Good Week This Week Who Is Going Into Surgery

I Was Banded On Friday The 13th And The First Day I Was sleep Alot But Not To Much Pain. Saturday Afternoon I Got Up And Was At The Horse Races All Day...my Mom Was Mad That I Was Up And Moving So Fast But I Just Had Minor Pain.

I Have Lost 18lbs Since The 10th So That Has Suprised Me, Protein shakes Are Still A Little Hard To Get In But I Have Been Drinking 1 Slim Fast Low Carb shake, 1 sugar free Popsicle, And I May Eat A sugar free Jello Which Goes Down Fine And 100% Apple juice.

Yesterday I Ate Egg Drop Soup And I Think It Really Helped Cause It Let Me Get Some Of The Gas Pain Out And Gave Me My Second Bowel Movement....

I Was Going To Give A One Week Update But Since I Am At Work Not Doing To Much I Thought I Would Share My Experience.....

I Would Really Like To Know What Others Are Eating

wooo Hoooo June 10-284, June 13- 277, June 16- 266.5= 17.5 Lbs Down

Seems they all notice that I have lost a few lbs.

A young male student in the Industrial Electricity class has even written me a love poem. LOL He could be my grandson...LOL:glare:

Good luck to all of you getting banded today and keep the nerves in check for you getting ready for tomorrow! :)

Tomorrow is the day. Want to wish my fellow June 17 banders the best of luck and also wishing you an uncomplicated band life.

I thought I would be nervous. I must have gotten all of it out of my system in the last few weeks. A certain calm came over me last week and I know I am ready for this. The plan I have set in place is to follow the band rules to a T and to go into all of this with a positive attitude no matter what my pop up down the road. I am so ready for this lifestyle change. I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
