Cinco de Mayo a new reason to celebrate!

Recommended Posts

Hi, my surgery date is May 5th. I can't wait, because this two week diet is a real challange for me. I'm just at the cutoff for the surgery, and a lot of people are telling me I should't do the surgery. I know, and my family knows my life long struggles. I have their support, so I'll be ok. I hope to connect with some people with the same issues that I have. I live in south Florida, surrounded by beautiful, perfect bodies. I'm hispanic, so eating around my extended family is going to be "fun". I'm optimistic so WATCHOUT!:crying:

He really does not understand this struggle. He has no idea what it is like. I would like his suppoert but it is really hard to do it wiht no suppoert. I really wish you all the best and I wish I was in your shoes. Best wishes to you!!!!Keep us posted on your progress!!!!

Vucarre, thanks for the support. I hope you do get the surgery someday. Maybe you should take your husband with you to a seminar or to your doctor. My husband didn't want me to have any more surgeries, I've had a few for health reasons. But, hey it's my body. I need to feel good about myself and my famous saying is "If Mommy's not happy, no one's happy". My family get's it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
