Of course! He had those sexy cool characters down so well he had to really be that way. I wonder where he is today?

Ok. I couldn't help myself - I Googled him. LOL He is like 55 now! Why did he not seem like he was that much older than me when I was a teenager???

Anyway, his website is basically dead. It said on there he is trying to get a Myspace page up. I haven't looked for it yet though. He was also i rehearsals for "Broadway Bound musical" called Mask that was supposed to open in Pasadena in March.

Anyone remember Garbage Pail Kids? Oh and the TV show Alf? I think I may still have my Alf stuffed animal packed away in a box somewhere! LOL

I thought I was a real rocker in the 80's. I was in high school through the best years. I put about 20+ color bandana's around both of my legs(over my jeans). I think it was the Motely Crue thing. Which by the way is still one of my favorite bands.

Remember the group Chilawak(sp?) I think they had one hit...Gone Gone Girl /Haven't thought of them in years

I was big on half shirts and pinstripe jeans with red high heels. Of course couldn't forget the red shirt and red bracelets up and down the arms.

I actually have found my two favorite movies from the eighties and watch them every so often: Valley Girl and My Chauffer. Love it!!!

That's where that monchichi monchichi came from. My dog has a monkey that he plays with, and when I play with him with it, I make the monkey dance and sing, Monkeke Monkeke, Monkeke Monkeke Monkeke. Now I know at least I'm not a true freak, it did come from somewhere.

So I remember the 80's even though I was only 8 when they ended... and these things may only recall to the younger 80's crowd...

Cartoons - My Pet Monster

Stuffies/Cartoon - Popples

Stickerbooks!! I remember all the different stickers girls used to collect and you would put them in a photoalbum type book and show them off at school/trade stickers.

Other fond memories of being a child in the 80's:

Jelly shoes, slap bracelets, spandex stretch pants, NKOTB (which I think eventually had something to do w/ my Backstreet Boys obsession in high school when they came out), fraggle rock.

Ahh the memories.

Man, I was just thinking about all this stuff when I was over at another thread a couple days ago. I didn't know everyone was talking about this stuff here... I read the whole thread and I am just cracking up! The 80's - we were such a kewl bunch!!

Here's a few things I didn't see mentioned:

- Feather hair clips or earrings.

- Super long earrings, almost or touching your shoulders.

- Little puffballs in all colors with the crazy eyes and the sticker feet, you could place them anywhere.

- Smiley face T-shirts with a bullet hole in the middle of the head...

- The Dumbass TV show called "Small Wonder" where this little girl in a red dress would act like she was a robot.

Wheetsin got alot of the more obscure ones that I remember so I won't go over anymore of those. I see many were into the hair bands, and I was not an exception. I remember some weird rivalry between Def Leppard and Guns N'Roses. Well, I liked DL.

Anyway, since this is a trivia thread, I'm going to post this pic here and lets see if anyone can figure out who they are:1085344414stryper2am1.jpg

Ok, I had that VERY poster on my wall, but cannot think of who it is to save my life. I'm drawing a complete blank. Oh, and I had THE longest dangly earrings EVER! I had some that were way down past my shoulders.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
