I have two answers for this Yes and NO

Yes - Bedroom. DH loves miniskirts - Gotta get me some Pretty Woman Boots too (do they special make those?) - though my thighs will NEVER be small enough - LOL

No - Public. No one wants to seem my cottage cheese thighs - darned heredity! I agree with right above the knee is okay. I want some tall boots (not hooker) to wear with my skirts - I'm hoping these calves will go down by winter!

I know I will once I have the legs for it! It'll take a while, my thighs and knees are the last places to lose weight.

I voted no. I have not so good legs even when I am at my best. (very short)

But the main reason is there is a woman at work...who has to be in her 50's from what I understand though is just petite and beautiful and big boobs...itty bitty everything else. She is very high ranking in our company and wears these little skirts all over the manufacturing plant and office. It just isn't appropriate for work. It has blasted a horrible association with that article of clothing for me. :)

That's not really my look, but I will totally be dressing hot! Lowrise jeans, tank tops, etc. Maybe mini skirts will become my look. A cute jean skirt with cowboy boots???? Looks sexy on some girls... maybe it will become my thing too?!? I have always liked the sort of 50's look though, with a-line skirts and little cap sleeved t's, or strapless sundresses with a billowy skirt. I think those things are sexy and cute.

So I voted no!

I wear short skorts even now. Being 5'3" nothing is really TOO short on me, maybe 2-3" above my knee. My MIL says I need to show off my legs while I can. After years and years of cheerleading when I was younger, my legs are the only part of my body that still look decent. From mid-thigh down, they are still pretty muscular even if they are too big. If they still look decent when I loose weight, I will continue to wear short skorts; however, I'm no where near graceful enough to wear true short skirts. My "hotel" would show for sure. (When my niece was younger she would say "whole tail" and it sounded like "hotel".)

As for high heels, not now, not ever. One other thing I still have from years and years of cheering is weak ankles as they have both been sprained. I'm way more a flip-flop kind of gal.

Okay, I thought I'd try and get something going in the thirties. When/as you lose weight, would you wear a mini skirt? I'm not talking obscene, just pretty short.

I find I'm having to re-evaluate everything I wear. Is it appropriate. Do I look good enough to wear it. Husbands are no help! :-)

Just thought this might be fun. What are your thoughts?

Well, I tell ya....I have seen some folks that thought they was all that and a bag of chips, and OH MY they sho nuff wuznt.

When I went to the Seminar,,,the Docs wife said she has kinda taken her patients under her wing to try and help them learn to dress again. I just think it might be kinda hard to tell what is appropriate,,,considering we ,,,,or me, has had very little experience dressing me in skinny clothes..!...If I do come out looking silly will one of you please speak up???

I voted heck yea, BUT I would probably only wear them with my DH. My DH likes to see me in short skirts and high heels every once in a while :hurray:(even now?!?!?!:rolleyes2:), so I have to keep him happy.

I wear minis (not super minis... but above the knee for sure) with tights all the time... and I am only five two and look darn cute in them if I do say so myself!

This thread is a month old, but damnit, it's worth reviving.

OF COURSE you should wear mini-skirts. The better question is why in the world wouldn't you wear mini-skirts??

Mini skirts are Gods gift to men. I only wish women realized how good they look in them, just the way they are.

This thread was probably meant for women in their 30's, and I'm a guy in his 20's. But trust me ladies, listen to your husbands on this one. The skirts work.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
