:confused2: I am new to the forum, just reading though some posts and keep seeing the word "PBing". Can anyone please tell me what that means. I had my band surgery 5 months ago and have not heard of that unless it stands for something else.

I looked in FAQ but couldn't find it. What is a productive burp and why are people talking about it when they talk about possibly eating too much?

I guess I've just been lucky so far. It sounds like this is a common thing for people with a band. Can you tell me more about what it feels like? I've been told that I would vomit if something got stuck but sounds like that's not true because vomitting comes from the stomach, not the pouch. Also, what is "the slimes"? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to learn as much about it as possible to scare my self out of overeating....sounds terrible.

"Sliming" occurs when something gets stuck and you start to produce a thick over-abundance of saliva. It's your body's way to try and get the food down.

Honestly - I haven't had either sliming or PB'ing and I fully intend to avoid both by eating according to the rules. Eating the right foods, chewing well, stopping when full, taking small bites, avoiding foods that tend to stick - all these are the "bandster rules" and it sounds like you know them well!

Problem is, sometimes you don't know what the "right" foods are until you find out you just ate the wrong one. Plus, what was the right food yesterday sometimes turns out to be the wrong one today.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
