My 20 yr old made my YEAR...

My 20 yr old son, in an effort to illustate to me just how much weight he sees I have lost, surprised the hell outta me on Saturday, when he reached down and picked me up (baby style)and kind tossed me up and down (me screaming and laughing all the time). NOBODY has EVER picked me up, ANY way since my adulthood. Not even my husband on our wedding day, across the threshold. I also NEVER allowed anyone to pick me up knowing just how VERY heavy I was. He is no muscle man, but an average 20 yr old (and vertically challanged like me, lol). He said, "Mom, what are you bitching about your weight for? You weigh like nothing anymore." I started crying. He got worried...LOL. Until I told him he just made my YEAR! OMG, I love that kid. LOL.

That is an awesome NSV Congrats on your weight loss. :) Moments like those are priceless.

I too have never had anybody pick me up..

How awesome, That is the one fantasy I have, to be carried over to the bed and made love to by my husband. Just like in the movies, you know??? I know its corny, but I've always been too heavy to lift by anyone, actually that had always been one of my fears if I passed out somewhere, how could anyone lift me or rescue me?? Weird.

What an awesome son you must have. My son is only three but he climbs in between my legs and grunts like he is trying to carry me, its so funny, he only weighs about 34 lbs and he thinks he can lift me!!

THAT is awesome. After having a daughter, I worried a little about what to do with a boy, a little man. Mine is 2 now, but to imagine him being 20 years old, makes me puddle, and for me to be light enough for him to pick me up, OH!!! I can't even imagine. I would have bawled too. That little memory will give you YEARS of joy! I wonder if he'll ever know just how much that meant to you? I hope so, I'll bet he does. Gonna go blow my nose now...

Wow, that is so cool!! It's a fantasy of mine, too, to be lifted up by my husband. It's pretty amazing now that I can sit on his lap without breaking his legs!!

Something other people do with/for one another without batting an eyelash is an enormous victory for the formerly morbidly obese. Ain't banded life grand? :)

He is AWESOME! I told him just how much that meant to me. I think he got it with all the waterworks...lol. He and I have always been very close anyway, but he is even MORE super to me now...if that is even possible. LOL

Oh Paula,

Wow, it is such a blessing to have a wonderful son who exspresses his love and care for his wonderful Mom as he did. Your good work as a Mom is blessed for sure..."And God is able to make all grace abound unto you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8).

Always, Judy
