lap bander wants gastric bypass ins. pay?

Has anyone had a situation where they were able to get their lap band removed and also had the gastric bypass surgery and have gotten their insurance company to pay for it?

If so did you have special criteria for that coverage/surgery?

Any details would be helpful, thanks brandyII.

x-ray chic,

good luck with your surgery, I believe I am done with any thoughts of revision for myself but everyone has to make up their own mind. As I said so far my daughter has been successful at weight loss due to her RNY but it hasn't been an easy road without potholes. Right now I'm focusing on not dieting and being healthy and we'll see if I can get my band removed sometime in the future. Take care and good luck with your surgery, Nancy (brandyII & Nanook)
