I live on the northwest side of Houston and I am looking for people who might want to start a support group. I know that I could certainly use it right now! I am at a plateau and need some encouragement!

I am around the Jersey Village area, and you know there is a Starbucks around every corner...LOL That sounds like a good place to start....

Hi there...I'm up for it! Same as Brown Bear...evenings and weekends are good for me.

Evenings and weekends work for me too. Shall we dive in and plan an initial meeting this Saturday or Sunday at 2 pm at the Starbucks on 290 at Spring-Cypress, in front of Best Buy?

I'm up for 2pm on Sat...I'm checking w/DH now about schedule...apparently Kroger is having a one day sale and he wants to go. (He's the coupon cutter in the family...and he loves Kroger.)

lol It's their big "Southwestern Open House" or something like that. Lots of food samples....and I haven't even started soft foods yet. :smile2: So I'll be staying away...too tempting!

Well, we are having a noon birthday party for my 1 year old granddaughter on Saturday so I will miss the first meet but you guys go ahead and I will catch the next one. I really hope this will take off. It is so good to talk to people who understand some of what we are dealing with.

Hmm, maybe Sunday at 2 pm would be better. So far it's only me, for certain, on Saturday and that won't be any fun!

Either one works fine for me...As long as DH gets his Kroger fix, I'm good either day. :wink2:

Shall I try to contact the others who had expressed an interest, but haven't been back in the thread in a while? I think there was a Katy-specific thread too, and maybe another about our area. Oh Gloucester!! I'm so sorry! We wondered where you were. We were at the Starbucks on 290 and Spring-Cypress...between Barker Cypress and Fry Road. Hopefully, as we start meeting, we can all exchange more contact information and avoid something like this in the future.

And there WILL be a future! I've heard back from about 10 people that they couldn't make Saturday's get-together, but want to be informed about the next one. Let's look at the first or second weekend of September (6-7 or 13-14).

And if anyone wants to get together before then, my time is pretty free right now. Just drop me a PM and I'd be happy to meet you for a chat!
