Penni- are you going to put it under lounge area?

Ok so it looks like we have enough gals for the calendar. Zoe seems to have given her spot to Teresa for Oct. Please confirm this Zoe.

I don't know if Vines,Kathy, Paula, Kelly or Bushbabe were interested but if they are I need to know now. We could easily be able to arrange one month as a group shot. We also need gals if someone drops out or can't fly to have the shot taken.

Personally I do not think large group shots for all months are good for a calendar for the type of sales we are trying to generate & follow up with on the next year. This is only my personal opinion & of course i will submit to the majority rule. But I also think managing a project like this is not a small task & I for one am serious about it & would like to proceed. For those of you whom think this may be something they are really up for please PM me with your phone numbers. I will need to contact you when things start moving along. If anyone wants me to hold up or stop just say the word..I am all about flexability & nonconfrontation. So I won't bat an eyelash if I need to step off. Just let me know. All about fun anyhow.

OK- Girls I had been up to 3am continplating how to do this venture. I may have a graphic artist ( she is awesome) to help with the backgrounds & touch-ups for the shots but she would have to be hired. I was also thinking I could draft a letter & send it out to all of you. It would be generic to each of your Doctors. They could have there names & address & numbers printed in the back under find a physician for lets say $1500.00 a pop. Or they could have their name under each of the months & or including the photo shot, plus the back of the calendar for $2000.00. Its all about the number of views they will recieve & how long they will be infront of someones face(lets say 30 days). But this may not work well if we only market to the UK. Not sure what you all think. Our greatest expenses will be flying-props & film & graphics. Plus I have no connections to publishers. We need some ideas for that. Doesn't anyone's DH know someone?

By the way I know what I want for my month. A snow angel, with perfectly placed ice crystals on top & me holding a white Muff(literally-LOL) over the lower region. With a halo;0) NOT!

Staci- we will definetly keep you listed as a fill in & maybe if we have a group month. I'll let ya know what happens

Ok, I am a graphic artist and I work for a printer. I would be glad to do the graphics work for free. I can get us a great deal on printing this thing. Let me know what we need to do next.

I've been practicing my pose...looking out in to the sunset, on the beach...wind blowing in my hair....

Rain go away. I've got to start working on a tan. I've got big 80's hair and I like it.

A few too many scares on the belly, can they be touched up? Otherwise I have a great ass, can I do a side profile/turn shot, surfboard, beachball, sand castle...seashells

Penni’s a Movie Star, cool.

Mrs Humpher- that is a grand offer -i just pm you to discuss the possibility.

Cool Vera- got your pm

I need to know about Kelly & Paula

I thought Maybe if Teresa dosn't mind because Zoe gave her month to you would you mind adding in Crystal & maybe Kelly & Paula(if they join in)- It would be a great shot of you guys for a group- the only special group shot in the whole calendar with all pumpkins & Halloween things that you guys think of. Just my thought if you want your own month Teresa I totally understand & its your call 100%. You just let me know. Than if you decide to be solo the others gals will be alternates.

OK, it looks as if y'all are really serious about this thing, and that Teresa was genuinely hurt because she was left out. So I hereby confirm that Teresa can be Miss October and I will take my candy-corn gazongas out of the running. Good luck!

I was chatting with John about this calendar last night and he suggested we post an inset pic of our before so people can see the band works. I think that is a great idea.

Vera as far as my scars I don't care that they show because some people are afraid of what the scars will look like and if we prove they can be minimal then that dispels another myth.

I have had a friend or two out here that has published a book so I will contact them and see if they can direct me in the right direction. I also have a ex sis in law that is like my sis and she has published two books for children. I will email her and see what she can tell me. I will also see her while I am in Nashville in April.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
