OUCH! Bless your heart. Thank goodness you have insurance! So those out there if you have insurance.... work it so that it will cover this procedure!

Me? I paid $8,000 for my new me. And yep, I paid it, don't have insurance.

I have insurance but not for bariatric. I live in the Middle East and had it done here... self pay for 2,082. Not bad at all when I see how much self payers have to fork out.

My Out of Pocket after Insurance paid was $1,100.00. I just received a statement from the hospital and it was $25,500.00 FOR 1 NIGHT HOSPITAL STAY.....yikes!!

I am a lucky one also I just received my bill 1 day and 33,000 plus just for the facility I was blessed to start a new job in Oct 2007 that covers the surgery so my out of pocket was only $150.00 blessings are all kinds.

arrgghhh shhhhh don't tell me these things. I am literally taking out a loan to pay for my surgery as I don't have insurance that covers the surgery. I am trying to just think how this is going to be cost effective long term.

I had to look at cost effectiveness, MaidMarion.

I was about to join another health club and go back to WW or Jenny. I was calculating everything over 2-5 years.... more expensive than the band.

BTW, I did all that before and didn't lose much weight and gained it all back.....

so you bet, $8,000 is alot cheaper than dieting. Got to admit the results are way better, too.
