New Yorker soon to be lapbanded

Hello i am going to be lap banded on 4/25/08 in Schenectady NY at Ellis hospital by Dr.Panameglore. I was just wondering if anyone here had him for a doctor and if anyone has any tips for me, i'm a tad nervous this is my first real surgery.

Thanks:smile:

i live in nyc...just got banded on the 13th!! I am fine it was not bad...however the gas is unbearable. That is real painful. After the surgery you will have no appetite..hard to beleive but yes its true...

welcome to LBT. this is a relatively 'minor' surgery. normally takes about 45 mins or so.

gas pains depend on the person... some people had them really bad, i didnt have any.

best of luck to you and congrats on getting a surgery date!
