Member of the Banded Gentry (finally)

Ta-da! I am now a proud member of the Banded Gentry. Everything went really well yesterday. I stayed an extra night because of my asthma, but everything went just super.

If anyone has the chance, I highly recomend the facility I used in Kirkland WA. Had a very interesting chat with my surgeon, because I have no support group in the land of my exile. He said that more and more RnY patients are needed the band in addition to their replumming. He also said to not bother with the support groups for that style, that it wouldn't be worth my time.

oh, and they all thought my idea that I do all those crunches was a good idea...

No crunches yet, but I sure feel like I didn't do enough of them pre-op! Because I have done so many crunches to get ready, they think my stronger abs (stronger than the average Banded that is) really helped with my recovery. The crunches and the walking I do...

No pizza, not even anything pizza flavored... I added a Protein shake last night and felt much better.

Only needed on dose of pain killers yesterday, hoping for none today. Still taking the baby gas relief drops.... I find there isn't any gas pain, just some pressure, and the drops help me burp. I figured out all by myself that drinking a can Dr. Pepper would be a BAD idea....

We will be taking me back to exile on Friday though ;)

Hey Crystal, are you on Spring Break this week? Classes start back on Monday? Last question...you son lives with you in exile, right? So you won't be alone in SE ID? Just wondering. Well done! Glad your recovery is moving along. We are all very proud of you!!

Yup, this is spring break for me, and no, I live in my exile alone... So alone... Just me and my pink hair... Classes resume on Monday...

My son is 18, so it isn't like he's a wee babe... ;) (warning, proud mamma moment...) At the health club, he reps over 1,000 pounds for the leg press... No wee babe...

Oh my gosh, I knew he was grown, but I thought he was around 15 or so...okay, he can stay without you...but is your pink hair enough to keep you company? Please tell me you have semi-sane friends to check in on you there...then, of course, there's always us through your computer....Aaahhhhhhh (sigh of relief)
