Kaiser So Calif - What's the process to get approved?

I am just starting to look at having the lapband surgery and have Kaiser insurance. Can someone tell me what the process is to have it approved by Kaiser? I'll just pay for it myself if it's too lengthy but thought maybe there are some shortcuts you might be able to tell me about.:)

Norcal Girl - I can't speak for the gastric bypass part of this but I went through their lap band procedure and no I didn't have to go to SF every week. I think he's referring to the classes which can be done up here and to my knowledge (I never went to any) are once a month. Call the bariactic department and ask them. You can PM me if you need the number. You'll also find out a lot of these things in orientation.

Good luck on your journey!
