I can't believe it!!!!!! March 25th is the date

I cannot believe it! I thought this day would never come. March 25th is the date for me!

Of course, my insurance company won't pay for it, so I am self pay. I will be $17,500 in the hole, but I KNOW it will be worth it!!!!!

I am excited beyond belief. I really was beginning to believe that this day would never come!

I am SO VERY HAPPY!!!!

Hi Bill:

25 more pounds prior to 3/25, my you have big goals! Good luck! I am going for another 5 or so pounds. Come see the rest of us March bandsters in the March, 2008 support group thread. it is a blast!

I can't believe how quickly the date is coming up! I'm less than 2 weeks out.

The time is going really quick, my surgery date is next Thursday and I am starting to get skitty!! I go for pre-op test Monday and I heard that not great.

I am also having surgery on March 25th! I am excited and nervous. I am so happy that I found this site. It is great to hear from other people experiencing the same thing as me.

Hi Busywoman: I have pre-op Tuesday. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight monday. I am scheduled to be there for 3 hours. I have no idea what they will be doing for 3 hours???? I know that they take blood and you speak with the anestisologist. (ok, I am sure I spelled that incorrectly!) I figured it was one of those hurry up and wait things. Do you know what pre-op testing entails?

Hi Duke! Welcome. You should come over to the Support group section and look for March, 2008 bandsters. We have a bunch of threads and I think there are a few of us who are being banded that date. There are a few who have already gone through it. it is a pretty diverse group!

Duke and Moonshade, good luck and your right, this site is awsome.

Hopeinapril, you were told not to eat after midnight before your test?? My test are scheduled for 3:00 p.m.!! Need I say that sucks and I need to get some clarification which is hard to do on a Friday evening. I hate to think I am going to have to function all day Monday w/o anything to eat!

Congrats on your accomplishment. My surgery date is Mar. 18th and I finally got authorization from my insurance today. I am beyond excited.

Good Luck and Congrats. I'll be right behind you. March 27th is my date. I've been fighting with insurance since March of last year! I was told to be persistant and not to give up fighting. They were right. I received my approval letter 3 weeks ago. Good luck.

Hi Moonshadow! love the name! welcome to our group!

Busy: Yep, I was told no food and nothing to drink after midnight, but then my appointment is at 8:45 am. I don't know if it makes a difference that your appointment is in the afternoon. I actually called them Friday to clarify because I thought they said no food only. I wanted to be sure that I couldn't drink water because I drink a lot of water.

Welcome My Band and Lori! I love this board. It is so wonderful to be able to "talk" to all the folks who are getting banded around the same time!

Good luck everyone! I hope next week goes quickly!

Yep, I did some searching on the internet last night and the conclusion is 8 hrs. b4 test. My test is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., so I am going to try to grab some protein at 6:00 a.m. when I get up. No water all day is going to be rough, I might call and see if I can sip a little water, what do you think??

Hi Busy: The lady at the pre-op place told me that I could have a sip of water to take my vitamins. I guess if you are not around anything to drink it would be easier. I guess I should be thankful that my testing starts so early?

Hi Bandme08: COOL! I am really excited that it will be a new beginning!
