March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Hey all.

So there's a bunch of us in this group, all split up into our different banding days. I was thinking that it might be a good idea to have one master thread as we move through the month, in which all of us could post as we go, from the pioneers going on March 1st to the finalists on March 31st.

I'd love to talk about our anticipation and any worries as we approach our banding date, for people to talk about exactly what happened from the moment they walked into the hospital door until the second they walked out, about how recovery is going, about weight loss and plateaus, about non-scale victories and challenges.

I was thinking that if we all contribute to one thread, it'll form a more substantial channel for information and support. At the moment, I was thinking that we might be too spread out into individual date, and that a central thread would be a really good backbone for the group, in addition to the date-specific threads.

What do you think?

Fenton

Hello everyone! I need some helpful advice.... I'm going out on a date tomorrow night and he wants to try out some new Indian restaurant. I've never had Indian cuisine.. what items do they serve that are lapband friendly?

Now all can understand the Power of the CLAW!!!

I don't think we can understand the CLAW until we have experienced the CLAW. How's that going for you Fenton? :yikes:

I must admit that the CLAW is a heavy burden indeed...

As to Indian food, off the top of my head I'd say saag paneer - pureed spinach with soft Indian cheese - shouldn't be too bad. I'm not v. restricted so I don't have tremendous insight into this subject.

Thanks everyone for the nice words. I really appreciate it. Again thanks to everyone for your support and encouragment. It has and continues to mean a lot. Good luck to everyone else. :)) I know we CAN all achieve our goals.

I just posted my Friday weight loss on the other thread and had to come here and say a BIG congratulations to Potatie on the 100 lb weight loss, WTG!!! Keep up the good work. :)

Just did forty minutes on the wii fit aerobics routines....I really like the stepper....took me a bit to figure it out, but once I got the hang of it, it's pretty fun!

I'm not very good at the skiing ones, though.......

I really like the Wii Fit, but have not done it for awhile. It will probably call me a couch potato when I get back on.

The Wii Fit can be a bit snippy......I hate when it calls me OBESE...OKAY...I get it....you told me once, no sense saying it every day! I do SO look forward to the say I am just OVERWEIGHT!

I am also looking forward to being overweight. I have been obese for around 26 years. I think i have about 10 more pounds to go.

I am also thinkig of getting the wii think that would be a nice valentines day gift from my hubby. I already left a few hints.

I hate weekends, I had no access to LBT and boy did I miss it. My computer at home is tempermental and dial up connection sucks.

But on a better note I LOST. just posted my weight on the other site. down another 2.7 # YIPPEE..... :)

I see everyone is dealing with so many issues. Just keep a positive attitude. difficult at times, but so much an important part for our success.

Happt Monday..

I have been struggling for 6 weeks with 3 pounds, up one week down the next and so on and so on. Over the weekend I decided if I'm going to get over this hump then I need to start my exercising again so I'm glad to say that I did 45 minutes on the treadmill both Saturday and Sunday and I'm going to start journaling my food intake again today. I keep hovering at 190 and occassionally get below it to 188 then it goes back up again, grrrr!! I want to get into the 180's and if I'm going to do it I decided that I had to get serious, so today's the day!! Wish me luck for a better week this week! :)

Go Teri!

I started journaling yesterday, too.....I decided that my intake was probably more than I thought it was and it was time to get honest with myself. I do find that I think more when I journal.....and evaluate if it's really "necessary"!

Hope this week is banner for both of us!

Hi all

I will be incommunicado for a while. I just got a call from my Dad in Ca. Mom was taken to hospital and is asking for all her kids to fly in. Doesn't sound good. Im flying out in 3 hours. Stress + flying = restriction.

Im just not ready to say goodbye.:)
