Is health Alliance covering the lap band yet?

Has anyone heard? Is it even being reviewed by Health Alliance? When I look at this post It seems like there are more and more people having the procedure. I would assume the insurance companies would pick up on this soon.

I am also looking into Health Alliance covering, I will let you know my answer as soon as I receive on. My PCP is looking into it for me.

I don't have Health Alliance but as an Illinois girl I'm wishing you both the best. I think the insurance companies are finally gonna get with the program (fingers crossed).

I checked into the place in Peoria doing the lap-band for self-pay prices. My BMI is too high for them to do it. They only do a BMI up to 50. My luck if Health Alliance ever does approve it, I'll be too big to qualify.

There are surgeons that will do the surgery on higher BMI patients. Just talk to a different doctor.

Good luck!

China, Check a search engine and go from there. Maybe Dr. Horgan or the Wish Center.

Good Luck - I know there is someone who will do it. Keep the faith!!!

( try Lap Band Chicago or Lap Band Illinois, something to that effect)

The Best to You!!!
