Okay...I don't know what is freaking UP with my GOOGLE, but I have updated that dang spreadsheet three times in the last week, and it just refuses to publish! When I look at it, all the info is there. But when I go out and come back in to view as a guest, it's not updated. ARGH! I sent a message to GOOGLE to see if they can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now on to the good stuff! LOL
Two full hours at the gym today, on chest. Ooo-Ooo-Ooo! It feels so good to be back in there!
My gym traded in our old faithful chest press for a new, different model. I DON'T LIKE IT! The old one was an incline bench with adustable seat...the arms were adjustable for height (I loved making it so you had to pick up the weight all the way from bottom...good stretch!) which made it harder (good thing). The new one is a flat bench that I feel too tall for (I'm almost 5'11") and when I used it today, I felt it in my biceps and shoulders...not my chest at all. GRRR! I hope I get used to it...well, I have no choice, I suppose. I wish they would have ADDED instead of REPLACED though. Okay, "whine" over...I hate whiners! LOL
So my workout today: six sets of 12 on the new bench press, six sets of 12 dumbbell chest presses with 35 pounders (hoo-aw!), six sets of 12 chest flyes, six sets of 12 cable chest flyes and then topped all that off with four sets of 60 crunches on the roman chair holding 30 pounds of weight against my chest! I'm still babying myself on some exercises, like the chest flyes, since my shoulder/tricep comes more into play and I DO NOT WANT TO BE OUT OF THE GAME AGAIN! LOL So I'll take those parts slow to make sure I don't injure it again. I learned my lesson!
If I can get myself in the shape I want to be in, I think I want to get certified to be a trainer so I can have an excuse to be in the gym all day, every day!
JM - I miss you! Poke your pretty little head in here once in a while between dress fittings, would you? Hope all is going well for you!
DADDY - Okay...what's YOUR excuse? You don't have oodles of wedding dress fittings to see to! LOL
P.S. Yes, insomnia strikes yet again.
Karey, great news on the verdict! Surprised nothing about the shot taken at your son though.:)
Stef, great workout. I think after seeing that, you put me to shame. Good idea about taking a little slow getting back to the workouts for your tricep. You don't want to reinjure it and make it worse than originally.
Btw, I asked this in a PM, but are you a Cowboys fan? Just wondering. I'm a HUGE (literally and figuratively:lol:) Cowboys fan and hate living up here in Norseland. I went down this past October for my first game in TX Stadium. LOVED IT!!!!! Going back for 2008 season or maybe to Green Bay when the 'Boys play over there. Haven't decided yet.
Anyway, today was a "non lifting" day. Did 65 minutes on the treadmill. Running 2.25 miles in a little under 25 minutes @ 5.5 mph. The rest was done @ 4 mph and inclines of 2 and 3%. Burned 1000 calories.
Last night did my first lower body of this cycle so 6 exercises, 7 reps each and 3 circuits. Switched up the exercises and felt good getting through it. Just amusing that the beginning of the cycle goes sooooo much quicker than the workouts at the end. I know, less total reps, just feels like I spend no time in there at the beginning of the cycle. But, I make up for it at the end.
Thanx on the workout, but ALL of us here rock the gyms! :)
No, not a football nut, but hubby is a MAJOR Cowboys fan! I'm glad you got to that game last year, because unless you already have tickets, you won't go to another one for a couple years. Jerry Jones pre-sold every stinkin' seat to every game through 2010, I think it is. All for the new stadium...which is GORGEOUS, by the way! Of course, you know there ARE ways to get tickets, but you might have to arrest yourself afterwards! :biggrin: LOL
No problems with ticks Stef. Buddy I went down there with was on the Cowboys practice squad in '92 and '93. If he can't get them through the team, he knows alot of people to get them from for really good prices. Really good seats.
And, I thought everyone in Texas was a football nut. Isn't it a law or something? :)
Ceradad: The aggravated burglary was because they shot at my son. The will get an automatic 5-30 years. So sad. Such a waste for those stupid young men. I guess they were heroine addicts. I guess they'll be clean by the time they get out!
Guess I missed that part.
The important is that your son and your family are safe. I agree that it is a waste of youth, but remember: "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time". One of my favorite sayings.
Hopefully, your family and you can get past this w/o too much turmoil in your lives from here on out. Good luck.
Whose: Don't you love those hotel exercise rooms?! You're doing great! Way to stick with under rather difficult circumstances. It's paying off and it does create those life time habits everyone says you need to be successful!
Had a good work out today. I'm down another pound! YEAH! I've got a head cold and am a little worried, because I can't have surgery if I'm sick! Anyone have any good suggestions for speeding this cold along? I'm taking Cold MD and EmergenC.
      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.
        Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.
        Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!
        I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.
        I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.
        BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
