Ok , you girls are having toooo much fun in here together ! lol !:wink2: Things are going pretty well for me too. I got way over-filled in November , but it helped me over a plateau. i just had to deal w/ the puking and all. But I 'v lost about 16 lbs during that time. i am just now starting to feel hungry sometimes like I used too. I so can't wait to get to Onederland, but hey , I haven't been in the teens since college 20 something years ago , so I feel pretty darn good right now. Gotta go ! Time to sit with those wonderful in-school suspension kids for an hour.:Dancing_biggrin: bye !

I had to go to in school suspension once. I was pissed it was not out of school. Glad to hear you are doing well. I also was overfilled but it caused me to gain because i could not consume anything but liquids.< /p>

Yeah.. Lazy bypasers!

Anyway, I think I'm screwed! Can't eat whole meat (steak, chops etc) no chicken. Can eat popcorn, icecream, chili, & eggsalad and for some strange reason McDonalds double cheese burger w/out the bun! What gives?

What are you guys eating these days? Just looking for variation of menu.

Some anniversary party we'll have with 4 people:wink2:

RTL: You might be just a tad too tight.

One of my most favorite things right now is Hormel no bean Chili over baked potatoes. YUM! Lots of Protein in that. I usually nuke a very small red potato for about 5 or 6 minutes, cut it in half and smoosh it up a little and then dump on the chili... SO good.

Another fave for Breakfast is instant grits with shredded cheese in it. 210 calories, and 6 grams of protein!

For lunch, I'll mix up some tuna and low fat mayo, and eat that on a wasa cracker. Or have a kid size microwave Dinty Moore Beef stew cup. I also like some of the frozen microwave meals. I always try to get the ones that are 250 calories or less, and I can rarely eat the whole thing.

Snacks can be mozarella sticks, cottage cheese with salsa mixed in, or Triscuit thin crisps and hummus....

I always keep Kraft Handi-snacks SF pudding on hand for a sweet tooth, 45 calories

Yesterday, I threw some frozen meatballs in my crockpot, dumped a can of cream of mushroom Soup over it, cooked it all day, melted some cream cheese in it when I got home, and served it over noodles last night. YUMMY!

Sometimes if I'm feeling lazy, I'll toss some frozen chicken breast in the crock pot, with a can or 2 of Ro-Tel tomatoes, cook it all day on low, shred the chicken when I get home, and serve it over rice with a dollop of sour cream.

Hope this gives you some ideas!

I have actually gone vegetarian and then vegan in the last month. I eat pretty much anything I want that does not have animal in it. Today I had a bowl of high Fiber Cereal with soy milk for breaky, a vegan waffle and banana for snack, a veggie sub 1/2 of a 6 inch from subway) and a little salad for lunch, Peanut Butter on toast and chocolate soy milk for snack, and dinner will be a veggie burger with salad. I pretty much feel like I am eating all day but the weight is coming off again.

OK, educate me, Babygrl. Vegan is nothing with a face, or anything that comes from something with a face, right?

And (purely out of curiosity, I'll ask) what was your motivation to go that route? Just something to try out?

Vegan is no animals or animal products (milk, eggs, etc) I draw the line at honey because I think bees are assholes. Many vegans will not wear fur, leather, use anything with beeswax, yada, yada, yada. Vegetarians will still eat dairy and eggs but do not eat anything that used to have a face.

I started out with the no meat thing because of reading the book Skinny Bitch. I had also stopped eating refined sugar since I was having huge problems with sugar addiction and I just figured what the hell. After a few weeks with the no meat thing I decided to remove the dairy from my diet because cheese is really fattening and I was eating a lot of it. It has been more of an experiement than anything else and it seems to be going well. The scales are moving in the right direction and I am eating pretty much anything I want whenever I want. I wish I could say I am doig it for a more valiant reason, like the suffering of animals, but no it is purely for health reasons. I feel better than I have in a long time. I am not tired in the morning, I have not needed any coffee, I am not exhausted all day long. I feel pretty effing great.

If you must have cheese, I've seen tofu cheese, I can't remember what it's called, but it comes in individually wrapped slices like american cheese. Can't say though if it's worth a darn, or if it gets melty like cheese.... And, since you cut that out because of it's fat content and fattening qualities, I also can't say whether it's high or low in fat, sodium, etc, either.

Yucky stuff. I am sure there are some good brands but the ones I have tried were nasty. I have been doing pretty well without it. I was tempted by some cheese bread last week and boy did I pay for it. I was so violently ill that even that the smell of my kids pizzas with cheese on them did not even smell appitizing.

Ouch! Violently ill because you were stuck on it, or ill because of the cheese itself?

And I had a feeling that the tofu cheese was yucky stuff, hence the reason I couldn't say if it was worth a darn... The thought of it makes me cringe.

I have had tofu a couple of times and not hated it, though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
