Recommended Posts

I thought that I would start a thread for us MERRY LOSERS. I like to set mini goals for myself (quicker gratification) keeps me going. So I would like to lose 20lbs and commit to myself to excersise for at least 40 min 4 times a week by Valentines Day .So if anyone else would like to join me with there own goals I thought that we could encourage each other through this new journey!!!!:clap2:

My goal at the moment is to get up to swimming 1km per night. While I'm up at work (mine site), that means 50 laps of the little 20m pool. So far, I did 14 laps the first night, 20 the second and 32 last night (640m). I'm going to go for the lot tonight!! I think it will be a little easier when I get home and can use the 50m pool at the local fitness centre.

Okay, I'm in. I want to be up to 45 minutes on the treadmill walk/running by February 14th and hope to be down 15 pounds by then. Really wanted to write 20 pounds, but my scale is fluctuating to much right now and want to be realistic.

My goal is to lose 100 pounds by September.

DH and I are going on a trip to China in September and I want to be able to climb the Great Wall etc. I figure 100 pounds in 34 weeks isn't too big an ask, it's just under 3 pounds per week and on Monday I have my first appointment with my PT so will be exercising as well. I have little goals along the way, like new shoes etc but this is my main motivation.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
