I was banded in DEC 2007 lost about 30 lbs and sadly have now gained it back! ......... So I decided to join weight watchers to get myself back on track and add some structure back into my eating. Weighed in last Friday and sadly am at my pr-op weight I can t believe I'm about to post my weight........304 ...scary, but I feel I need to just to hold myself accountable.I'm going to try and post what i eat and the points again to hold myself accountable for my actions and Friday evenings I will leave updates after my meetings. I have been MIA on this website for sometime because I was embarrassed of my gain so I'm back hoping to get some inspiration,encouragement, and knowledge.

SOOOOO happy I found this thread I just joined ww today super excited to get on track looking forward to share stories:smile:

Hello i had my surgery with Dr . Oliak on 12-28-07 and I have ppo ins and i still had to pay almost $4000 out of pocket which was for his aftercare plus I had my surgery at Garden Grove hospital and had to pay an additional $750 :grouphug:!!!! Plus every time I get a fill it's considered a procedure not an office visit ..... so I have a $20 co-pay plus an additional $60 that ins won't cover. He is an awsome Dr and his staff is good , I chose him because I felt really comfortable with him. I do think I overpayed though. From the time I had the first consult it took me about 2 months later and I had my surgery my ins didn't require a long waiting time.

Did the focus group already happen??? If not I'm intrested I live like 5 min. from Marina del rey

OMG I feel like I'm reading my own thread I posted 2 weeks ago!!! I had my surgery almost a year and a half ago and have only lost about 25Lbs !!! I was so ashamed of my progress I did not want to go see my Dr. I avoided it for 6 months .... Well I finally made an appointment and went a week ago and had a fill and am getting back on track and we agreed since I 've fallen of the BANDwagon I should see him every other weekend just to hold myself accountable and watch my progress . So u can do it!!!!

OK I was banded 12-28-07 and have lost 15lbs and have no one to blame but myself I've only had 2 fills and never got to my sweet spot or restriction point I haven t seen my Dr in 6 months and am going to go see him tomorrow I feel shame and embarssed for not going to see him sooner I know the important thing is that I am going now I just don 't know what to say to him tomorrow?????? I would really appreciate some advice

Hello esmeralda, I live in the culver city area, I was reading your earlier posts you said your byfrnd lives off of venice and motor thats like 5 min from my house!!! wow u got preg after having the band, did you have kids b4 the band?? I have a daughter 7 yrs old but would like to have another.... I would like to get together and talk, we could meet for coffee some where???

how is everyone doing???? I just got another fill friday badly needed feeling motivated again:thumbup: Just wondering if anyone would like to plan any meetings in the west la area maybe during the week??? I would love to attend the sat mtg but i'm busy for the rest of the month of aug with summer ending and all, so let me know if anyone is intrested to meet for coffee. Or if anyone is intrested to start maybe a group of us to meet and walk ..... lord knows I always need support in the excersise department .

Hello i was banded dec 28 2007, and have lost about 35lbs. I haven't been doing that well with the band totally went off track avoided my doc for 2 months because i felt shame , guilt. Well I decided to pull my sorry ass up and made a app for fri 8-8 to get a fiil and strat over again , I need some support i think someone I could e-mail every other day .I'm 29, live in la, CA ,I have a 7yr old daughter and have been with my byfrnd for 10yrs I work part time and go to school full time so pretty busy schedule.But just need some encouragement and some advice from time to time from someone who has been threww this.:Banane34:!!!

I SAW YOU GUYS GOT TOGETHER AND HAD A MTG AT DENNYS I LIVE 5 MIN FROM THERE ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO BE SETTING UP MORE MTGS?? OHHHHH I HOPE SO I WAS BANDED IN ORANGE COUNTY BUT THATS TO FAR 2 GO FOR MTGS , I WAS BANDED IN DEC THE 28TH AND HAVEN'T BEEN DOING VERY WELL:( , i WAS ACTUALLY ASHAMED OF MY PROGRESS AND DIDN'T WANT TO SEE MY DOC I FEEL LIKE A FAILURE, BUT I MADE A APPT AND I'M SEEING HIM THIS FRI THE 8TH BUT EXTRA SUPPORT FROM OTHERS WOULD BE GREAT, I LIVE IN THE MAR VISTA , CULVER CITY AREA.
