The I Hate Exercise But Going to Learn to Love it Thread

I'm not going to lie, I hate to sweat. I'm so large that moving for a long period of time tends to wear me out BUT TODAY I begin exercising. I'm starting small, 10 minutes my first day, and working my way up to one hour or more of healthy movement.

So how do you move?

Today I took my 85 pound pitbull for a walk. What did you do?

Anyone else need to break the I-hate-to-exercise habit? What are you doing to change? Share your thoughts here.

I am driven by the fact that exercise is essential to weightloss.

I'm allergic to exercise. I get short of breath, get flushed and break out into a sweat.

Oh wait...I guess that is supposed to happen when make your body to workout.

I have my surgery this week. I plan on starting to walk every day as soon as i can (I have a dog that is beginning to jiggle). If it's too cold my brother told me to come to his house and use his treadmill.

Between my two brothers and my parents, I have access to a treadmill, recumbent bike, and Bowflexes. I'd like to eventually join the local YMCA for the pool (and possibly access to their various programs and trainers).

I know I have to change my attitude on exercising and sweat (a babysitter I had when I was little told me "ladies don't sweat, horses sweat"; I guess I wanted to be a lady instead of a horse - lol).
