Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here

Recommended Posts

Yes it picks up Pam, there's even some pornographic parts (that as I read, I thought of Michelle reading this.. how twisted am I?)

Keep going!

What page is the good stuff on??? LMAO! I'll give it another go, but I am a picky reader...especially reading about old people at a circus, lol...but I like juicy stuff! I need to put the book down until you know what is finished!

There was a chick on the pictures on the right. She had huge loopsided boobs and was wearing a green shirt. I don't mean her any disrespect, but I don't like the pix on the right. Most of the time they are befores (no afters) or pix of kids and dogs. Anyway, her boobs were loopsided...but she is gone now. BooBooKity is still at the top...I like her!

OK....sooooooo happy about BB!!! Sad about the eviction, but loving the HOH! WooHoo...bye bye Jerry!

Good Morning, Violets..

Well, the gas guy arrived at 8:30 and is out there now putting the adapter on so we can get gas to the heater and my pool can get warmed. I said if I couldn't use the pool in September, I would be really pissed, since we're spending all this money!! But it looks like I just might make it in the pool before we have to chip the ice off.

PamELa.. I know exactly what you're talking about with the green boob lady.I pm'd Alex about the pics on the home page. Specially when that lady's butt appeared. I didn't get a response. I figured it was just me that didn't like to see that stuff first thing in the morning.

Terry.. the rosary is beautiful. Such a fitting tribute to your mom.

Laura... love reading about your dreams. Makes my look almost tame!!

Jenn.. I agree with Tracy.. don't go starving yourself!!

I know the Bobster and I are ready for a fill. I feel like grazing all day long lately. It's been a couple of months since we've been in, so it's time. We have an appointment on the 15th.

Gotta go get dressed and ready for the day. The gas guy has to come in and light the pilots for the Water heater and dryer. Then it's time to fire up the pool!!

Everyone have a great day!!!

Woooooo hooooooooooooooooo!! We have heat going to the pool!!!!! And I soooooo wanted to tell the gas guy about Lap band. He was huge and so uncomfortable looking. I just wanted to say, "ya know, there's help for you". But that would be rude so I just thanked him for getting the pool heater up and running.

I'm off to clean the kitchen and do some laundry so the house is in good shape for the choir party tomorrow!

Janie- Perks of Being a Wallflower, is the book they compared it to. I am about halfway into the curious dog, I don't see the resemblance, but it's a good book too.

Well my weirdo dream for last night.. one of my gay buddies from high school was visiting me with his friends that I didn't know. I was really tired, so I went to bed and told them to let themselves out. They were, and I saw them sneaking back in. So I went to look, they were raiding my clothes (which were in the kitchen some reason) and stealing a bunch of PINK SWEATERS. uh huh.. I don't think I own any pink sweaters! Then we got into a fight, and then instantly I was on a road trip with my family & Russell. Russell jumps out of the van at a gas station--while we're still moving, to go to the bathroom. I kept thinking, how is he going to get back up here? And we kept right along.. so I finally made my dad turn around so we could go get him (I was convinced Russell did not think that through). And there was a bridge with a lot of water.. something scary happened that made me wake up in the middle of the night (with really bad arm cramps, I slept on it wrong) freaked out.. but I don't remember what!

Finally remembered to bring my yogurt for Breakfast, so enjoying that right now.

Hope everyone has a good Friday!!

TGIF!

Oh and I must be oblivious, I don't remember a green shirt boob lady..I did notice a lot of the B&A are named Laura, which I figured had to do with Cookies, they fill in the blank with whatever your name is.

Morning girls~~~ barely but still morning here!!!

Manda just dropped Kinsey off following her 2nd day of the nuclear stress testing She ended up being there forever because the policy is to not let them leave the facility until their pulse is under 100. Well her resting pulse rate is always high, which was one of our signals something was wrong. They finally using drugs to reverse things got her down to 107 and released her. We get the results of these tests on the 23rd. She said this morning she wants either Rick or I to go with her, because we have been through some heart stuff before. Glad I didn't have to pull the Mommy card and demand to go!!!

I got the housework done this morning before Kinsey showed up. I wanted to sleep in, Rick did not make it back home til 1:30 this morning--but the neighbor was working on his bike and a couple of other guys were over there, so there was no sleeping. Of course in an average day no one is sleeping here at that time, so I am not really complaining, plus I got all my work done!

Now Kinsey and I are off to do some banking, and I promised her a trip to the park. She loves the fitness park in town, it is a loop, probably half a mile, and has stops along the entire thing, with chin up bars, slant sit up boards, all different kinds of fitness themed stops. Well not only does she expect me to "do" them, but to help her do them as well, it is a double workout!! But hearing her giggle is worth it!! And the exercise cannot hurt me!! This time of day is not an issue, I feel like a doofus when the really fit people are out there, watching my wings flap as I attempt a pull up-----which by the way I have NOT succeeded in doing more than one, and I hurt for 3 days after doing my one!!! I keep thinking there is less to lift up, but it doesn't matter--I am totally out of any kind of shape!

Well I am off to curl Kinsey's hair. Her Mama curled hers this morning--so she must have hers done too!!! But hey a couple of years ago I wondered if she would ever have any hair so it is all good!!!

See y'all when I get back--will check in if my shaky, jiggly, weak arms can type!!

Hugs!

Kat

Hey Bi's!~~

The vet just left after checking out Mo... she did NOT have to give him an enema... just removed some "matter" & said it was a good consistency... yeah, this is probably TMI, huh... well, anyway... we'll see how he does, but he should be over the worst... so TERRY -- I think it's safe to read my posts again (altho not this one, obviously).

But I have nothing else really to say!! I've been so all-consumed by Mo's "habits"...

I'm inching closer back to my siggy weight... 3.8 lbs to go, then I can start posting it again... I've just been really controlled w/my eating this week... using that ol' willpower... it sux, let me tell you!! But I think I told you about the "trick" I've been using... if I'm hungry, I make myself eat MEAT... I can eat only a bit 'til my band kicks in, so I think that's helping. If I eat anything soft at all, I can go on & on & on... so meat. Whatever. I just want to get to -100 and then to my original goal of -120, which will take me to 197lbs!! THEN... I will re-evaluate. But I want to hit that dang-blasted original goal first!!! By the end of the year!!! So at this moment, -37.8 to go. Not impossible!!!

Make it a good one, Vi's!!

I heard this song for the first time the other day, something about it is so moving to me. The lyrics and her voice I guess!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq-ZmAYLeB8]YouTube - Brandi Carlile - The Story (Official Video)[/ame]

Around 2:54 she scream-sings and it sounds so desperate, gives me goosebumps. Blah blah blah, go listen!

She's like a mix of jewel & old rock-n-roll and some folksy old country.

I told Russell I need to crack down on my eating, I am slipping and allowing myself indulgences.. every day, and every meal.. woops!

He said "Like what?".. I said "Well, I had a hamburger and fries for lunch yesterday, I couldn't even eat that till now.. and I ate all of it!!" And he says how we never go to fast food, so that was a rarity anyway.. but *I* know I don't like being able to eat that much, I know what that opens the door for. Typically I can only eat a small amount, which justifies my indulgence (a frosty). This time I ate the whole burger, fries, AND frosty. Ugh. And I didn't even like any of it, it all tasted crappy.. I don't like fast food anymore, but I still ate it, wth?!

Then he asked "What else", I said the coca cola cake Wednesday and he goes "I told you not to get that" (I never heard that).. all I heard was HE ORDERED ONE TOO. Blah blah blah. So at lunch, TGIF's.. I was looking at getting a salad.. but they don't have any good looking ones.. so I got my bacon-wrapped shrimp I always get.. and they way undercooked it, it was all white and goopy.. I took a tiny bite, and almost gagged.. sent it back, she says they have to make it all over again so it'll be a while.. it WAS a while, but it was the same shrimp--I saw where I took a bite out of one. I was still turned off by the whole eating a piece of pretty raw shrimp, so I just got it all to-go. I wanna eat good, I really do.. but that's where the band is my miracle worker.. it keeps me from being bad, and right now it's a little lax and I don't have willpower.

The curious incident dog book, etc..... When I got it, there's a cut out dog on the front, that is black because of the page behind it. Well, there's a 'hickey' (what we call it in printing) on the black spot that is suppose to be the dog--a printer error. Now, I know for a fact when the publisher received these books with this hickey they DEMANDED a refund/reimbursement, etc.. of some sort. But this proved my irritation with some customers, the book was NOT cheaper to me--the consumer. So the publisher just ripped the printer off.

We see this all the time, some little tiny blemish, which the person buying the item would never even see (although this book it is very noticable, which is why I know they got some sort of discount from it)... they are adament they deserve something for it. But they still use it, and the product isn't discounted.

Oh and I found out, this job I do yearly with the city--such a headache--It's a beautiful book and I love the end piece, but they require I sit in at their meeting while they go over 200 pages of content with each other and gush about how wonderful each other is for coming up with the ideas..called me and I have to go to the meeting on Tuesday. Last year after 2 hours of them talking about where they were 'going' with the book, I finally let them know I really didn't need to be there for that and left. In fact, I didn't need to be there for ANYTHING. I can't do anything for them there.. except listen to them. Pointless!! Sometimes sales is daunting, but 98% of my customers aren't local so I don't usually have to do this kind of stuff.

I actually tried to give this customer to a newer sales person, and she declined it. I was pretty shocked considering she is always crying about how low her sales are. I think it was a power thing, like it wasn't important enough to her. But I found a way to make this worth my while, going to mark it up enough to give me a few 100$'s per hour for sitting in the meeting.. today she came to me and decided if she HAS to take it, she will. I just looked at her funny and said, nah this is a good paying job, I got it!

Hey girls, you know how very occasionally something happens at just the right time? Today I had one of those moments!!! Kinsey and I were at the fitness track, and we were doing this slant ramp, and I heard someone coming up behind us, so we moved on. The next one has this linked jump rope connected on one side, so you only spin it with one hand. But she had to try it--so she couldn't figure it out, which leaves me having to show her----so I jumped maybe 3 times, when the person behind us catches up again. It was my PCP!!!! He was shocked---the last time I saw him was for my PS referral. He talked to me for a long time, and told Kinsey how great it was that she was learning to work out and exercise.

Now I had not been to the place in well over a month! But I got Dr. credit like I was there everyday!!! LOL

We stopped and had a taco, did a quick bit of shopping, did our banking and come home.....paid bills last night, so I am poor again!!! LOL

Now it is time to go find something I can put together and call dinner! Rick is going to be exhausted, and will likely come home early, so guess I better get a move on!!

See ya in awhile!!

Kat

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
