Wellllllll............. Robby broke a bone in his foot last night so I spent most of today carting him around from doctor to doctor..... DAMN!

T-Ball is totally out, and thankfully the doc showed mercy on us and didn't cast it today... we are trying to keep it stable with an ace bandage and one of those cast shoe's.... (We are going to a brand new Water park on Saturday)........ and if he gets casted it will last 6 weeks of his summer with NO swimming! He hasn't quite grasped it yet that he won't be able to ride his bike or be super active.. let alone go to the pool 3 times a week with his daycare..... at one point today I was told he might have surgery TODAY.. but then the ortho specialist said no..... and was the one who made the call... said he should really cast it but that he was trying to be a nice guy.... we go back in two weeks to see how it is healing and most likely the cast will go on at that time.............. needless to say....... I didn't make wise choices with eating today......

Kat: it was so good to hear from you!

Talk to you all later.

Haydee, I had fun in Houston, just a different kind. It was nice and relaxing. If I had to compare it to Gruene/San Antionio it scored low, but on its own was okay.

Tracyks does that mean NO surgery for Robbie, or wait and see? I hope it is not on a growth plate.

Busy at work today, but it is always kind of crazy when you have been off. Have to work by myself tomorrow, should be really crazy then.

Well have a great weekend if anyone is taking off, and Kat I still hope you are doing well!!

Hey Violets~

Tracy...hoping Robbie mends well and quickly!

Kat~ How are you doing?

Laura~ Where's the hair?

Ok...I am off to Phoenix later today. I won't be home until Monday, and wont have much access to puter (FIL has dial up). I have to work today first, so you know I'll be stalking LBT during the day!

I am still riding to good vibe wave from our trip. I hope that as we all jumped right back into our lives that you all still feel some of the magic from last weekend...I really miss my violets!

OK, everyone be safe and have a fun weekend. After last weekend, everything pales in comparison!

TracyK - I miss your voice! I almost stopped at sonic yesterday to get a java thing but I heard you saying to me "Don't do it Haydee, DONT DO IT, ITS BAD" LOL. I almost called you but it was like 9:30, figured you were in bed like a good girl should be...

TracyKS - aww, poor Robby! How did he break his foot?? The very beginning of summer and this happens. That sucks! Hope he doesn't drive you batty while he's recovering...

Pammy - did you ever send me your physical address? I need to get your hat to you!! I've been wearing it every day at the office... :blushing:

Laura - we didn't tell you to let your hair down because you DONT look bad with your hair up!! You could shave your head bald and you would still be beautiful... Lemme see your new hair... What did Russell say about you cutting it?

Well girls, I go to get my fill tomorrow. I hope she's aggressive with it. My sister is freaked out, it's her first fill! She's scared of the big needle but I told her that it's no big deal. I hope I remember to ask her how much I have in so I can record it. Every time I go I always hope I hit my sweet spot... Wish me luck!!

Pam - how are you doing with your fill? Anymore "episodes"?

I'm going to get an UNfill on Tuesday! I'm tired of fighting with it all the time... i want to eat healthy food! I can't go a whole summer not being able to eat canteloupe and watermelon! I'm getting some other strange symptoms so gonna nip this in the bud.

Russell didn't like I cut it, he's not too upset because it's not super short. But I did say "Hey I know how you feel" (meaning how he cut off his long sexy hair) and he goes "I have not cut my hair in 6 months! I'm growing it back out!" WOOT! I thought he's just been too lazy to get it cut. It's in the mid-length ugly stage, but one of these days it'll be long and schmexy.

Ok here's my new hair..

Trying not to get an unfill until right before Germany (dangerous) but I agree...I am tired of not being able to eat "real" food. Seems like when I am too tight, I live on the slider foods.

Haydee~ Been an ok week, I've really babied the band w/ food (over did it on crap that goes down well). I PB'd this am. I was getting lunch ready and I put a small bit of pot. salad in my little container. I had some on the fork, shoved it in the old pie hole...and you know it. I am trying to be good so my band is in good shape for the MIL cooking. Hoping to live on German meatloaf...albeit, a small amount.

Robby is doing well........ he is hobbling around on hit booty foot pretty good.......

How it happened.......... Cody, Robby and Uno the dog were all out in the back yard chasing after a toy airplane..... Robby lost. What really happened is that Cody shoved Robby out of the way so that he could get the plane, and when he shoved him his toe got caught up and he went down on it wrong... then the dog jumped on his head and took the plane.... I am totally pissed and hope that Cody learns from this that he IS NOT 4 YEARS OLD and has a lot more strength than he realizes.......... Cody felt guilt at first, because he then gave Robby HIS plane.......... but yesterday....... he said he didn't do anything wrong.......... girls this is hard for me to deal with..... I wanted to go bolistic but managed to keep it in check. I simply told Robby that he needed to quit playing with Cody, and that he was not 12 and that Cody is a lot stronger than he knows, playing rough with him is not a good thing.(I put it on Robby) and Cody who was listening started pouting.

you are such a sweetie! congrats on the no-java-chiller-moment. That is exactly what I would have said to you too, "NO NO"! LOL They are good though, right? lol

Amen Sista!! That is why I did it. I like where I am with my fill. It is just right to where it lets me know who is boss but I can still eat things I enjoy.

Ok here's my new hair..

:sad_smile:I can't see it until I get home

I was totally eating junk food when I was too tight, therefore not losing weight. The weight that I have gained since my unfill is totally my own fault due to not smoking and bad choices. But at least with the slight unfill I can MAKE choices...before I couldn't.:cool2: Have a great trip!

OK, OK...I need to get off of here (for now, haha )

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
