Hey Everyone~

We are home...feels good! We ran over to our friend, who lives down the street, and swam in her poool. She is in Laughlin...so I went skinny (hahaha) dipping. Sus wore her suit, butprobably wont tomorrow.

Susie~ You have got to come up w/ a more dramatic story then that...Like you were skiing in the Alps and took a digger, or...you were drunk and dancing on the bar @ the Coyote Ugly bar and fell off. Either way, I hope you feel better...and more importantly...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Haydee~ I am proud of you. Life is too short to "settle"...you should have everything you want. I hope you get it! (w/ or w/o Juan)

Kat~So glad your healing well. It must be exciting for you everyday. I think I speak for everyone...we must see soon. Email us w/ 'em asap!

Terri~Saying prayers for mom...and you now. That is all I can say...and know I (we) are here for you! ((hugs))

Tracy~How is Macy feeling?? What is the count down?

TracyKS~ Congrats on getting DH on the cruise. If he does more stuff w/ you perhaps he will feel more a part of your life. You do "his" stuff...his turn:wink_smile:

Janie~ New floors...woohoo! Take pix too! When do you think it will happen?

Laura~ Love the hand painted frame idea...sounds beautiful. That is so special and I bet he'd love it!

Michelle~ How is summer for you so far?? I miss you..I miss everyone!

Ok...Weeds is on...gotta run!

Oh Suzie so sorry!! What a bad ending to a good day

Hope the vicadin is at least good, sometimes things are worth it when they give you the happy pills! Mwhahaha.

That's too funny Terry, and it's so you!!!!!!

So Kat, does that mean I need to be eating violets??? I won't lie, I am super excited to get my sex drive back. I don't dislike sex, but I rarely instigate.. I found out when I went off b/c for surgeries or whatever, I'm like a rabbit!!!! So it's the b/c that kills it for me.. I told my gyno once, she was more or less unsympathetic. Anyway, so I am a bit excited to get my mojo back for a while.

I am on my 2nd benadryl for the night, they make dissolvable strips now.. I love this, almost everything I take now has some dissolvable something so no worrying about pills going through my band. Rash isn't going down at all, and the anti-itch creams don't help for long (10 minutes max). I am starting to think it's just poison ivy. The ache in my hand is mostly gone unless I touch the joints.. but I can bend again without pain. Well, so maybe benadryl is working!! I am loopy, benadryl does that to me.. I'm writing from bed, about to close it up and pass out.

Night ladies!!

WEEDS IS ON? Crap, if it's a new episode I gotta stay up lol.

Pamela, are you serious about taking pix? I can take them, just can't post!! I think I will shoot for September 1st. I have to pack all the paperweights I have, because they are in the living room in 3 display cases. I have about 300, so it will take a while, plus I am so not fast, and not in a hurry. So September might be next year sometime. I need to commit to a time, sound familiar Haydee?? I can't imagine what you are going through with Juan, but I know you deserve the best, and if he can't give you that, you need to find somebody who can!!!

Hey how come I had to go to advanced, yesterday it let me do this without the advanced.

Hey Terry I like the shirt:w00t:!!

Dimitri is completely off of his oxygen as of yesterday morning (Sunday morning) at 6:30am. They've moved him from the warming table to an isolette which is quieter for him, and because they don't need to get to him right away since he's doing so much better, they felt that they could move him into one to reduce the stimulus of his environment. They're feeding him with an oral gastric tube and he's tolerating his feedings very well. In a week or two they'll start letting him try a bottle before moving to the breast. They're giving him a little pacifier during his tube feedings to teach him to suck.

He's so darn beautiful....I love him!!!

I'll post pics later....I'll post some of Blake too...that little booger is getting SO fat!!! He's only 5 weeks and already 11 lbs! He's almost doubled his weight from birth in only 5 weeks....

Getting closer to closing for our house...4 more weeks! I have so much going on it's hard to get post every day, but I read your posts when I can!

Holding strong at 200...can't seem to break into the 100's...I won't give up! I just need a little time for myself to focus is all....maybe after things quieten down some...

WHO DARES ME TO BUY THIS SHIRT??? Omg.... I laughed 'til I cried. Prolly 'just me'. (Good thing Judy is in da middle of da ocean)

The last thing I need right now is something blasphemous. Now if the "J" actually said JUDY I would get it. lol

Tracy~How is Macy feeling?? What is the count down?

I have 7 actual days of work left. I am not counting today cause macy is still sick. I am so glad you enjoyed the concert. I wanna see a pic of your purse!

Good morning violets-

Macy is still under the weather. She sounds like she is losing her voice and so am I. On the good side, her fever only got to 101 last night. That is low for a child so I hear. She still has a sore throat but not to the point where she can't eat. At least I am able to keep her hydrated:thumbup:

I am sure my boss is gonna LOVE me calling in again but oh well, what can I do?

We found a 2 BR place and we are moving this weekend. Yes we just moved here in December but we did not know that this house as right on the corner of boombox central and speedway blvd. To top it off, we are downsizing to a 2 br instead of 3. It is a really nice place but I am not looking forward to moving again. I just hung my pictures for goodness sake! Whatever...I am just disgusted. I can not wait for like October or November. I don't know why, but I just want to skip over the next few months.

Ugh just re-reading my post depresses me. I'm sorry guys I am just in a funk. :cool2:

Have a great day everyone!!

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I DID MISS Denise's post! OOPS! I told you I had a bad week last week..

Suzie: GOODNESS!!!!!! I hope you are feeling ok.... (I was smiling reading your story... cause I've BEEN THERE)

Terry: SHIRT = ROFLMAO! (and I hope you are doing ok this week, between dh and sis)

Laura: my myspace is.. (I actually have 3!) MySpace.com - Tracy - 38 - Female - LEAVENWORTH, KANSAS - www.myspace.com/tracyinks (the one originally set up to spy on my neices) and this is my one for Losing Weight MySpace.com - Tracy - 38 - Female - KANSAS - www.myspace.com/lowcarbbandster

TracyK: MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE SOOO BUSY! I hope Macy starts feeling better today!

Pam and Michelle: (Skinny dipping /chunky dunking!) LOL

Kat: I am so glad you got a good report from your doctor..... I can not wait to see pics! I lauged at your post yesterday about the one ON one time!

Haydee: Have a great day! I am definately keeping your PS in mind!!!!

Jane: How are YOU feeling these days?

Nothing to report today........... getting ready for Vegas... trying to pack light light light...... 181 today.. I KNOW that i'd be in the 170's if I had my head in the game........

Also....... I've been thinking long and hard about the Lap Band Video thing..... I guess I've made it to the top 10 (I think I told yo all this)

Well...... it kind of hit home after I read a post from Chickie the other day....about how she did an interview for Make Me Heal and still to this day she gets people coming up to her and talking about it..... she said to be ready for the good and the bad reactions, and to remember that IT NEVER GOES AWAY......

So then I log on to my yahoo email I see banner ads for the Realize band, they are people like me........ and then I think HOLY SHIT... MY HEAD COULD POP UP ON BANNER AD's all over the NET! My BODY could be TALKING on their website......... and I think...... this is NOT just my doctors site.. this is ALLERGAN big big company.... as of yet compensation has not been determined......... and I'm of the mind that if it is NOT a decent amount.. I AIN'T DOIN IT! If its enough to pay off some bills I will, but if its $500 or less.... I'm going to pass... as it is.. the whole reality of it is kind of freaking me out......... and then I think.. Tracy you goob.... you are NOT gonna make it anyway......

Oh well.. thats where my head is at.

Have a ton of errands to run today and Susanne will go into Moreno Valley to get her "do" done. I am watching All My Children now from yesterday and as soon as it is done I am out the door!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
