Lucky Judy & her cruises!!!

I am dealing with another crazy customer. She was a customer before I started working here, and she was such a PITA they got rid of her. She had credit terms, and somehow every single job she found a reason she didn't want to pay half of her bill. So they got rid of her. She came back a few months ago, they warned me about her. She wanted credit, we said no. So she prepays, all is right with the world. Her first job since being back, she's telling us we short shipped half the job. Thanks to MY DH we have scales in the back that weigh product AMOUNT, not just weight. If you put 154 sleeves on it, it will say "154 sleeves shipped". Ta-da. Solves problems like these. So we showed her the tickets that show we shipped actually MORE than she paid for.. she comes up with some story why we should still eat the cost, since she doesn't know what happened, and we could have 'made up' the numbers on our scales.. Mmhm. When that argument failed, she comes back with "Well I wasn't going to say anything, but it's out of register, so you should redo it ALL at YOUR COST" (she used caps and all!!) I just went through samples, they are not out of register, she's just oddly enough trying to find a way to get half the job free. People are fun. I guess I like the drama like this, keeps me chit chatting with coworkers throughout the day "Can you believe this customer..." And in situations like this, we did absolutely nothing wrong, we offered her a discounted solution which wasn't good enough.. she wants us to pay her to be our customer!

I was no good at customer service. I fired every customer that pissed me off. "We don't need your business so take it elsewhere..." My mom never lets me work the register anymore, LOL.

Terry - yes, i'm seriously contemplating breaking up with him for good. I'm surprisingly calm about it. I know in my heart that if I continue with him like we have been he is never going to committ. He even asked me, "you would rather be married to someone else just to be married instead of being with me and not be married." Hmmm... made me think. Am I giving him up just because I want "to be married" in the legality of the word? Do you get what I'm saying? I've just got alot on my mind. My mom comes home today and I can't wait to talk to her...

That's a hard spot for him to put you in Haydee!! Ask him if he'd rather marry you and be with you, or not marry you and lose you!! I debated that too, Russell didn't like the whole marriage idea. He kept saying it was just a piece of paper. I guess I eventually changed his mind, because he didn't act dismissive when we got married! I think it was all just an excuse, really. Whatever you decide to do, we support you, and I'm here for ya

I have about 5 customers, that I hear every day "They aren't worth it". They literally cause us to spend hours tracking info, double checking etc, because we want to make sure we DIDN'T do anything wrong.. but it ends up they are just always out to scam us. 5 of mine, ALWAYS are looking for a reason for us to charge less, refund them something, ship for free (overnight-usually). I won't be straight out rude to them, but they're on my list of.. they can argue all they want, I'm not doing anything, if they leave..good riddens. This one today the production manager said "Tell her.. go to google.com and look up dvd printers.. and go there" hehe.

1 of my 5 called before I went to lunch, asking pricing on something. I gave him the pricing (excellent pricing, none of our competetors can match it).. and he goes "You need to cut me a break blah blah" and I go through the whole "This is our pricing, this is it.. we can't negotiate it". And he's hmm'ing and sighing for a good 3 minutes.. I'm staring at my clock.. so I finally go "So.. is that it?" and he goes "So you won't give me a better price? My customer is getting it for the same price." Now what this means is, they are mostly brokers, they take our price, mark it up on someone else. He is saying his customer.. is OUR customer.. and he wants US to cut our price.. so he can sell it for more profit to.. another customer of ours, that would have paid the right price. Derrrrrrr.

LOL about the register.... That'd be me, too.

Well, I thought that one of your major life goals was to have children....and the clock is ticking. Doesn't he get that? No marriage = no children, right? It's not just about "being married"!!

Hi Ladies-

My computer went down last night, so I did some status checks on it, and my DSL is up but my PPoE is down, Qwest shut me off! I had to wait til this morning when I could talk with a person (I HATE that!!!) Then had to have my bank fax the on line banking payment info to them, and they told me "ooops---we will have it restored in 2-24 hours!" So about 5 hours later it come back, so all total I was down for almost 24 hours, so I called and told them I expect credit for that time, she hum hawed, I bet it never shows. Just glad to be back up right now!!!

Was anxious to hear if Denise had posted....I see that she hasn't.

Haydee---I am proud of you for your honesty with not just him, but with yourself---sometimes that is the hardest one to be honest with. You are doing the right thing....by examining what is in your heart, because if you get married without both of you being in it for the right reason, it won't be happy, and believe me, marriage is a lot easier to get into than out of!

Well heck had something I wanted to talk to y'all about, but I have to run, gotta take a motorcycle tire to be balanced! AArrgghhh!!

Will do it in awhile----bbl~~

Kat

Hey there you Texan Violets. Do any of you know of Dr. Cribbins at the Texas Weight Management Center?? One of my new members of my support group had him as her surgeon and she said he put in 10cc's in her 14 cc band on the day of surgery. She has only lost 10# since February and has had one fill of 2 ccs here in Michigan. So at 12 ccs in a 14cc band she is feeling no restriction at all. I suggested she ask about a fluro to see if the band actually has all that in it. She's not had fluro with the doctor she found here in Michigan. She went to Texas for the surger cause she was a self pay and it was $6,000 cheaper there than in Michigan plus her son lives in Dallas.

Any info would be appreciated.

Got my sewing stuff cut out today and tomorrow I'll sew it all together. We're headed out to our Democratic Party meeting. I have to take minutes cause the secretary is out of town and I HATE taking minutes.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Catch you all later.

Hi ya'll-

Well it looks like my countdown is correct after all. Tomorrow will not be my last day at work. I went in and talked to my boss and I had thought that he would not care one way or another if I left tomorrow. Well....he pleaded for me to stay to wrap up some more things. Hmmm, it was really nice to feel needed/valued for a change. Makes me feel like I might be missed after all. Someone had even mentioned something about a going away party...it would be very nice (and appropriate) but I know if they do not do something my feelings are going to be SO hurt. I am just trying not to expect anything, ya know? I do not wanna be let down. I will feel like the worlds biggest idiot to stay thre to help out for 2 more weeks to find that they were just 'using' me. Ugh..sorry I am just rambling. :crying:

Haydee-I wasn't gonna say anything about your situation with Juan BUT I can't believe he said that to you. My response would have been "no, I want to find someone who loves me enough to WANT to marry me". OK, sorry, I had to say that. Forgive me if I over stepped...

Everyone have a great evening!

Judy...If I don't 'see' you again, have a GREAT time...k? Remember we are all there with you!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
