Good Morning!!!!!!! I've never gone over to the Rant and Rave section.... would most likely get myself in trouble especially if I saw they were picking on someone.....

I am dressed up today...... I mean with HOSE and everything! Going out for lunch with some of my work buds... going mexican....... I will be having the chicken Tortila Soup!

I just went shopping in the GATA room......my friend called and said that a friend of one of the sisters just dropped off a bunch of nice quality clothes and for me to come take a lookseee........ I took two really nice fitted cord blazers.. one brown, one black......... both totally my style.... but they are size 10..... This will be items to work for....... I doubt my arms will ever fit into a 10 until they are fixed.....

I need the Water PATROL TODAY!

Morning girls! Summer seems so far away here in Houston today. Another rainy cold day. Me and Juan are trying to plan a three day weekend to a beach in the next few weeks. I need sun!! I need warmth! I'm cold all the time. Even with the heater on, jammies, socks, sweatshirt, my toes and my nose and my ears and my fingers are always still cold! Ugh. End of rant. he he he...

Tracy - I would just plan on staying home until Monday. You do need your rest and your daughter needs to get her strenght back.

Pam - I very rarely go into the Rants section. I always try to stick up for whoever they're beating up on and then people end up beating up on me! And then try to convince me that no one is beating anyone up! Like hell they're not. They're bullies, plain and simple.

Suzie! So glad to have Water patrol back! I do so much better with my water when I read about others getting theirs in...

Still looking for Cindy... I'll send her an email today to see if she's just been busy...

GATA stands for GiveAwayTakeAway....... the Sisters (and employee's) can put their old clothes, shoes, etc... kind of like a personal GoodWill except everything is free......... most generally the Sisters buy very good quality and well made stuff.

Today the blazers I got were both from Ann Taylor...... I tried on the black one and it is WAY too small for me right now.... I have a BEAUTIFUL Ankle Length Wool Coat in a Camel color that I got from there several years ago... it fits me again! WHOOHOOO

Hi girls~

Remember I spent 2 hours breaking ice yesterday? Woke up this morning to another 3 inches of snow, and it is still coming down...I am with Hayde--------I WANT SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!

I am out of clothes to pick from in my own closet as far as smaller sizes go. Of course right now it does not matter I am seriously stuck sitting here, I have not lost good in months. My Dr. told me I wouldn't when he found the problem, he explained all the mysterious ways a thyroid works, and metabolism is the biggest of them. I have no natural hormone to trigger my metabolism. My blood work supported that---so I am now back on low dose hormone replacement for it. He said we will take 3-6 months to work back to a therapuetic level of hormone. I don't know if I can do another surgery until it is level or not without totally disrupting my system. I really would like to see about having my TT or at the very least a pannectomy or whatever where they just remove the skin--I seriously look deformed.

I tried on swimming suits---mistake, big huge mistake! To get a standard leg---I have no butt left, and my thighs are not pretty, but also not huge, so instead, my belly skin holds the leg opening----open!!! The skin tries to go down through it. Totally gross I know---sorry, just emphasizing, this is not a look in the mirror and feeling bummed day--it is seriously deforming! I have to wear the boy cut to keep it closed...and then I have this huge bubble of skin and residual fat---that the Dr, said is unlikely to diet off, since it is not muscle supported, and the muscle is what burns that off. So fine already--CUT IT OFF!

Oh well----one of these days it will be gone, and I will be thrilled!

My DD just called, her BF took her and my friend Becky to work, in his big truck, 4WD, dually- and big enough to handle anyone who got stupid and ended up hitting them. They got there, and now the road between us has been closed.....

Terry, the judges chambers are fine by me---if you think it is a better choice, then secure it! I will be ready when you need it to send off the $$$. I will put this in the right thread too---just doubling the odds of you catching it quickly!

Rick told me the other night of a big NSV I have---that I had not taken the time or realized til then. He said he thought I had quit moving at night! But realized I was rolling over without him even knowing it. Rolling over used to take lifting and shifting, and then moving back to where I wanted to be--it was not something I noticed, but it apparently jiggled the bed pretty good!!! When he said that, I noticed he is right, now I just flip and it is done!!!

I want new clothes NSV's tho------and all the clothes they are putting out I want are summer clothes and it is up to about 6 inches out there now!!!!

Well....time to go get something else to drink--and find something to eat----my stomach feels really acidy.

Tracy Monday sounds like the best plan to me for you and Macy both--feel better soon!

BBL~~

I so know what you are saying. My thighs are not great but with a little more work I'm good with them, they have shrunk a lot, but my belly hanging, makes me want to puke! I contacted the local plastic surgery group yesterday and what i knew was givine to me in writing, but my mom had a fantastic idea... $8k for a tt give or take. So when I start working my great job, I'm going to continue to work the pizza shop 1-2 nights and put every penny of it aside for my tt. So average of $100 a week, then I'll use my tax return next Feb to finalize the payment. The only other way that will happen sooner is if I don't need my child support anymore, then I can put $800/month away and will be paid in full by the end of the year. But either way, I'm going for consult in the fall and I'm going to get it done, I could deal with everything about me if i was not hanging out.

As for boy shorts, I think they are the greatest things. I will never wear a string bikini (LOL) and they are so comphy and are cute... I even have a couple pr of boy short undies, and I am super picky of my undies. LOL

$8k... omg... something to work for!

Im running out of pants!! I bought the 17's (which fit like 15/16) and I'm in 19's (fit like 17/18). But I only have 2 pair of the 19's and 3 pair of 17's.. so I have 2 pairs of pants that fit. The rest are way too big, I've been wearing them this week since the other 2 aren't clean, and my pants look so frumpy.

Just had a fume moment with a customer. They picked out they wanted xxx, they laid out their artwork on our template for xxx. They received it, and don't like the dimensions. Uh. So I didn't know what the story is, but he's asking if his CSR is competent, she picked it out for him. Then he said, they did NOT use our template, so it's our prepress' fault for not catching it. Ultimately, he wants $$ back or whatever.

So I go pull everything.. the CSR did *not* pick anything out, she sent him to the website to pick out what he wanted. HE picked xxx. Then, the artwork WAS sent on our template. Give me a flippin break. This company has tried to rip us off before, so I was rude in my e-mail back. I said YOU picked out xxx, YOU sent artwork for xxx, and we are suppose to read your mind that this isn't what you wanted?

I should have counted to 10 and taken the last line off, but seriously that is how I feel. Today's not a good sales person day, I'm PMSy :x

I'm on my 3rd bottle of 20 ounces. Looks like if I keep this rate up I should be doing 100 ounces for the day. So far on top of that I had a slim fast for Breakfast. So I am deffinately getting my fluids in today.

Jenn- Great on the wieght loss.

Pamela- I purposely enlarged my font because I had read before that you have trouble with it. Do I need to go larger?

No Susie, I see you loud and clear. I don't need anyone to change their ticker...I can see, it just hurts after a while. I've set my view text to Largest. Remember, I teach online classes and am often reading on the puter. I am supposed to go to eye doctor in Sept, but may need to move that up!

You are sweet for asking, thanks!

Still sipping on my 20oz...I almost have to go pee...but can use my teacher bladder and "hold it" until 11:30. Then after that I get to go @ 1:50!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
