Hit my first stall....

It's so hard not to panic; I know it's normal and fine as my dietician said it would happen, but I'm stalled. I'm 10.5 weeks post RNY bypass. It feels like de ja vu when it comes to all my previous weight loss attempts because this is always about how long my body responded with weight loss and then would just completely stop before... I know that's not happening but it sure wants to mentally put me back in the mode of defeat. How long can I expect this to stick around? What do you do to keep a positive outlook through it? I'm down 50 pounds, 37 since surgery, so I can't complain; so far I think that's good. Although I don't know as nobody seems to ever say, wow, or good job. Up until the stall I felt amazing about my progress and thought this had been pretty easy and smooth sailing. Now, I want to lay down and cry. I know ya'll have been there, what can I tell myself so I don't talk myself out of the positive mindset? I'm my own worst enemy--as many of us are. Any advice getting through this first stall?

Also, can you tell me why the folks that work in these programs (some) don't seem to want to congratulate you are give you kudos in any way. My new dietician (the previous is on maternity) is a terrible cheerleader. It's so transactional. What do you weigh (I'm virtual for some of the visits because I'm 3 hours away), what do you eat, any questions....ok, bye. I think that's kinda something too that's bugging me about the stall. I have an appointment coming up and I think this Mrs. DON'T CARE, is going to somehow say, I'm doing bad because of the stall. I don't know..... talk done sense into me, please!!!!

On a happy note, my size 14 jeans fit me now. I haven't seen those in 15 years!!

BTW , Oh my. You are so lucky that this is your first stall. I was on at least my third by 11 weeks. They suck but you do get used to them. Dropping weight by bariatric surgery is not easy and we will all tell you its a tough journey through it. Some fall on the wayside.

It took me two years to drop my excess weight, be patient, you will find it easier if you could.
