Good for you! Well, Karen taught me how to shop at the new HEB here in Pearland. There are things she eats that can only be bought at HEB! Like great crab cakes, different lower fat foods, etc. I will be happy to help you all I can! Call me.

Hi Beth

Congratulations on getting the band and doing something for yourself, as teachers we always find ourselves doing for others and putting ourselves last. I am doing well, I am on the mushy food abd baked fish. I have not been on the scale yet because I was told the first month is for healing and once you have your first fill you should start loosing. Take Care. Where are ypu from and does your district pay for the band, just curious.:scared::clap2:

Hi JenniferZ,

I'm also from Katy (fry/clay) area to be exact. I've done quite a bit of research myself for lab band Dr's. Trying to find one close to Katy so I won't have to drive so far for fills. I'm planning on calling tomorrow and get pricing from several Dr.s I found close to Katy, since I'll be self pay.

I know there are at least 2 Dr.s with good credentials at the North cypress hospital who do LB surgery.

Hey I just got done with my 6 months insurance requirements. The coordinator at the dr's office is looking over all the paperwork and will be submitting all the info soon(I hope). I'm scared and excited all wrapped up. I'm hoping to have the surgery by mid-month in February.

Good Luck and please let me know how you're progress goes...BTW I'm in Northwest Houston (610/290 area)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
