Wow reading all yalls replies I am so shocked I had my band done oct 29th 07 and I have 7cc and I have lost 150 lbs and I still feel restriction I am not really looseing anymore I think I have lost maybe 5 lbs in he past 4 mos I was a size 28 and now I am a size 10 I feel the band has been a life saver for me good luck to you all.

Has anyone had a problem with pain in their shoulder? I had my band since 10-29-07 I had this pain the beginning but now it is coming back. Any input is helpful.

Where did you have your surgery done I am in Temple. I was banded on 11-29-07 in Waco Tx . I have lost 25lbs

I had mine done at providence in Waco Tx Dr Moffitt I was self pay. Christi

Ok I went for my first fill and it was painless!! I dont feel much restriction but I am hangin in ther next fill is Jan 2nd cant wait Christi

I was told that the body absorbs whey protien better than soy my doc advised me against soy.

When were you banded?

I am sooo with you!! Ihave made some real bad choices but I to am trying to start over I had my first fill today I hope that helps me be motivated more!! We CAN do I know so lets hang in there and get it done!! Christi

Ok I got my first fill today went ok!! Not really anythig to it!! I dont fill any differnt yet but I am on liquids and soups for 24 hours so we will see how it goes!! Good luck to everyone

I am going for my first fill tomorrow and I would like to know somethings. Does the fill hurt? Does anything weird happen? Has anyone been banded at privdance in Waco Tx? Christi

a fill is where the doctor inserts saline into your band to make you fill more restriction.

Hi just a little about my self and some of my experiances. I was banded on Oct 29th 2007 and my first fill is on 12-12-07. I am scared yet excited about it. I have done OK I have lost 18lbs so far. I used to be a hugh coke drinker and amazing I have dropped that nasty habit. I have tried it but it just dont taste the same and I dont want it. I do drink alot of Water that is what my Doc really forces on me. I am very glad that I made the decision to get the lap band I have 3 boys and recently divorced. I made the decision based on my children I miss out on so much with them because of my weight: things like carnival rides go_karts, running and playing. I am all they have now their dad is a looser so he dont really have contact so I am now takeing control of my life and my kids will not me embarrased at school functions. I am so happy to join everyone on the band wagon.:clap2: Christi

Hello I was banded on Oct 29th and my first fill is soon 12-12-07 I am worried my self, however I havent gained but I havent lost either. My main concern is I usd to be able to feel my port very well and now it seems harder to find this maybe normal I dont know. I know how you fill I am right there with you. Our dates are real close I would like to keep up with your progress. There is a thread somewhere that is all by the month you were banded. I hope all goes well for let me know how you fill goes and if you feel any differnt. Congrats on your new life! Christi
