  1. Got banded November 7th and not doing so well. I need some advice from those of you who have lost a good amount of weight. I was down 40 lbs since about February. But have since gained back about 10 lbs. I don't know what to do. Sometimes I am so hungry I just eat and eat and never feel full. I need some good advice on how to start over again. I try every day but fail every day. I am only down 30 lbs. I feel bad but know that I can do better I just need to know what you all do that works for your.
  2. I was wondering if anyone in here has taken appetite suppresant pills after being banded. I find that I am always hungry and am wondering if in addition to being banded and trying to eat right, will taking diet pills help me not be so hungry all the time. If any one has been successful at this please give us your story.
  3. I got into the bad habit of drinking with meals and now it is hard to stop. My dr said if I don't stop it is totally defeating the purpose of the band. I am trying to stop but it is really hard.
  4. Gees, I cant' thank all of you enough for all of your kind word and encouragement. I guess I hadnt really looked at it as almost 2 lbs a week. I was just thinking about the fact that I havent really lost anything in the past 3 months. You guys are right I just have to get focused and quit throwing myself a pity party. I know I can do this and I am very happy that I lost 40 lbs so far. I guess I just needed someone else to tell me that I 'm not alone in this. Thanks for all the advice and all the motivation. I am starting over tomorrow. I will lose this weight eventually and at least I'm not gaining RIGHT??? Yeah,:clap2: let's do this fellow bandsters we are all in this together. I am truly grateful for having such a great family here on LBT.
  5. I was banded on Nov 7th and have only lost 40 lbs. I went in for a 3rd fill and had only lost 2 lbs since my last fill which was 2 months ago. This is so hard to do. I thought the weight would just fall off and that i would not feel hungry. This is not the case, I can't help but feel like a failure. I try so hard to eat right but some days it just doesnt work. I do exercise sometime but If i don't see a difference in a couple of weeks I want to quit. When will the weight just start falling off like the dr said. I hear so many stories of people who don't even exercise and lose weight. I wish I was one of them. Let me know if you feel this way or have felt this way and how you managed to get out of this rut and out of the plateau stage. :cry
  6. I also saw it on the news. I didnt hear them say they were pulling it off of the shelf they did say that it has been reported by consumers that it has caused severe stomach pains and possible intestinal damage.
  7. Ok, I am sounding like a big baby right now:cry . I have lost 38 lbs as of Nov 7th when I was banded. At first I was really excited but right now I am so mad and sad I want to cry. I am always hungry and my band does not stop me from eating. I don't feel full and I hate it. I know this is a slow process but sometimes I feel like I will never reach goal. Have you felt this way? If so how did you handle it? I need some encouragement. I am at 2 cc's and have only lost 3 lbs since my last fill which was 1 month and half ago. Please help!
  8. Gees, seems like everyone is doing better than me. I have only lost 40 lbs and am always hungry I have had 2 fills and am at 2 cc's. I was banded on Nov 7th. Anybody have any tips on how to lose more?
  9. Just checking in on November bandster to see how everyone is doing and how much progress we have made.
  10. I have lost 6 lbs since the start of bootcamp. Yippee for me!:biggrin1: Hey sarge, what does (spl?) mean? I hope it's a compliment. TTL
  11. Good morning it's Monday again and I am proud to report that I have lost an additional 2.5 lbs which puts me at 260.5 lbs. I guess that 2nd fill is working. Thank you Jesus!
  12. Hey sarge I lost 2.5 lbs. I will weigh again this monday. Hopefully have lost more.
  13. Hey NOVEMBER Bandsters how is everyone? I am good. I have lost 37 lbs since being banded on Nov 7th and I guess its better than gaining but I really thought this would be much easier. I am still hungry alot of the time and I still want to eat the bad stuff. I havent pb'd and I have only spit up once. I wish more things wouldnt go down so I wouldnt want to eat them. LOL! Hope everyone is doing well and please post your progress so we can see how well everyone is doing.
  14. Ok, its Monday and I'm checking in a little late. I weighed in this morning at 263 lbs :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: finally losing some weight again. I also scheduled another fill for this wednesday cause I am hungry alot of the time and i can eat a good 12 oz or more before I feel full. I joined a challenge at work and was put into a group of people also trying to lose weight so hopefully this will motivate me some more. I will continue to work out at least 5 days a week and limit my eating out to 1 time a week while making a healthy choice. Hope everyone is doing good and I'll talk to yall next monday.
  15. Yes maam it is not going to be easy. I was banded on Nov 7th and I lost 30 lbs the 1st month. I have been fluctuating between 32 and 38 lbs since then. I lose then I gain. I have to admit though I have been no angel I have eaten the bad stuff quite a few times. But the good thing is that every day can be a new beginning if you mess up. Of coure you don't want to start over everyday but it is an option if you just simply have to. It is not easy because for me unlike some others, the weight does not just fall off. I work out at least 3 days a week and I think that is the only reason I have not gained all the weight back. But this week I started over I cooked my meal tonight for the next 3 days and I have a personal trainer for an hour 5 days a week at the gym. Don't be discouraged you will lose weight but it may take a little longer than others. So good luck and god bless and don't give up. I couldnt have lost these 30 lbs without my band and I'd rather the scale go down slowly than go up.
