Just had surgery 2/14

I’m so sorry. I had mine on 2/13/23, gas x helped. It’s so much harder for you since you can’t walk much . That’s what helped me with gas pain. Gas pain is a nightmare. Talk to your surgeon team to see if there’s another way to help . Hope you feel better

Kris Poole I'm following and rooting for you Kris.
Thanks appreciated. Having a tough time meeting Protein goals but trying my best. Today I start my 3rd week diet where I can finally have eggs and possibly tofu (if I can stomach it ) so hopefully a turning point on the protein.

I had to have emergency surgery because my bowels got clogged so they reentered into two of my incisions which hurts like hell. All my incisions are glued but I have stitches on the inside behind the two incisions that they went back into. So it’s hard to get up and move around or even do much for myself

Oh I’m glad you got the help you needed. Some people like the binder, some don’t. I love using Spanx and binders because the sloshing sensation and sqeegy sounds of moving internal organs makes me feel “disemboweled” from days of yore. I used them for prior emergency hernia surgery too. It’s a personal preference thing. Maybe you don’t feel, hear, or see sloshing? I wish you well and healing comfort.

Oh, I only use them for recovery, like a month. They are too hot and restrictive generally. Best to you!

Just a lil update I’m doing much better. I’m up and moving around. Tomorrow will be my 1 month recovery date from my original bypass surgery date. I’m taking in food pretty well. I only struggle with reheated food it seems my stomach won’t digest it. But other than that I’m good. How have you guys been?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
