  3. Basically all I eat is protein lol.
  4. My bypass surgery was 2/14 and I thought my hunger was supposed to supress after surgery but I am always hungry. And before you say it not head hungry. I know what that is like. I am talking real hunger. The kind where I just want food... any food. Unfortunately when it comes to meals I still can only take about 4 bites before I am full... momentarily. Then an hour or so later I am back to being hungry. What gives?

  6. I am not trying to mindlessly eat. My mother and I occasionally have movie days where we will see 2-3 movies back to back. I eventually get hungry and also have some medicine I have to take with food. I have been muddling through with a hotdog no bun and still only eat half. Also I typically stick to ice water so I can crunch ice. I was looking at potentially making like salami chips or roasted chickpeas or something of that nature. I was simply looking for a suggestion of something I could take in my purse with me that didn't need a refrigerator or to be heated to enjoy when I do get hungry.
  7. Hey had my surgery 2/14 and am trying to find good movie Snacks that are fine after bariatric. I am not trying to "regular " snack just for when I go to the movies to deter me from getting popcorn or soda. I have found a few recipes online but am wondering if anyone has insight.
  8. I feel like I should've lost more by now. I had my surgery 2/14 and have only lost like 40lbs. Should I be further? I'm worried it hasn't worked

  11. I am a sucker for a cara cara orange and I am always the person who uses lemon juice to deglaze everything! I have been severely missing the deglazing especially cuz the pop of citrus is just me in a nut shell. I have been following my docs rules to a T which says no citrus until 3 months and I have been trying to track down the reason why to see if I can maybe just incorporate it into my cooking. Not sure if I should give it a whirl or not. Doesn't add that many calories.
  12. Thanks appreciated. Having a tough time meeting protein goals but trying my best. Today I start my 3rd week diet where I can finally have eggs and possibly tofu (if I can stomach it [emoji38]) so hopefully a turning point on the protein.

  14. I am past the liquid phase and have been totally failing on my protein goals. It's actually been hard for me to eat and drink period. Long story but I'm totally weak and falling asleep all the time. I can't stand Greek yogurt. It tastes like eating sour cream to me but I will give this a whirl since someone said it doesn't really taste like a typical Greek yogurt. Thanks for sharing.

  19. Eeesh sorry about that. It's hard for me to get up and do a whole lot as well as I had bypass while already having a broken ankle. This makes getting any exercise in very difficult. I have taken to trying to do exercises that I can do from the bed.
  20. I'm learning now that I have had the surgery I am already having a few issues among them both of the things you just mentioned. These issues are only an issue if they go for an extended time not for a week or two. That can be overcome/ combatted with assistance.
  21. Yes I got pain meds when I left and even though the glue is lifting at the edges I am consciously working not to pick at them.

  24. Haha snoring is always agood selling point. Lol
  25. I just had gastric bypass on 2/14 and have had weight problems all my life just like you. I was extremely self conscious for a long time about mentioning that I was considering wls to anyone for a long time because I was afraid of the judgment and stigma that surround it. Having support is invaluable. I would particularly point out your comorbitidies and how this surgery could help them. There are many patients that have completely stopped having to take any medications for diabetes and even put it into remission. Also if you look into the history of the gastric bypass it was originally a procedure that was used to assist people with gerd and gastric reflux to get rid of these issues and it just happened to have the side effect of weight loss. The more informed and logical on your approach would be the route I would go in getting her on board. Good luck!
  26. So afraid I will start picking lol. I have those ocd tendancies too lol And yeah I am feeling a bit better. Twisting is still a pain but bit by bit it is getting better just slowly.
