Spatial awareness

Recommended Posts

Is this a thing after WLS? I have lost up to 170 lbs before (obviously not nearly as quickly) but never had this problem.

I don't know if it is related or what but I keep banging my feet and toes up! Constantly stubbing my toes, took a chunk out of the side of my big toe the other day.

I feel like my mind thinks my body is still as big (like it hasn't caught up to my body yet or something) in which my stomach was huge so I knew if my body cleared the area, or in this case the door jam then my feet were safe. Now, my stomach is flat/normal chubby and my feet stick out more?

My feet are so banged up either way! My baby pinky toe nail has been fully or partially ripped off from stubbing twice now!

Am I making this up? Is this a thing?

I had weird spatial awareness for awhile, but fortunately, I never hurt my toes! But I remember always being surprised when I actually fit through things...

I have something sort of similar going on, but maybe a little different?

I can't walk a straight line to save my life! If I ever get pulled over and am asked to do a drunk test, I'd fail miserably, even though I'm stone cold sober. I'm thinking it has something to do with my center of gravity changing and my body not being able to adjust fast enough? Maybe that, combined with just being a bit light headed all the time from a drop in blood pressure?

Whatever it is, I'd like to get over it soon!

Oh wow, strange. That could be it, have you asked about it? I found myself walking "swervy" and found out I had vertigo. That was years ago and not an issue anymore.

I am also dealing with my blood pressure dropping to low now after WLS.

Hope you start feeling better soon!

This is SO a thing. I am 11 months post surgery and I have absolutely no idea when eyeing up a space whether I could fit through it or not. I haven't banged feet though - poor you - painful!!

Also - no idea when picking up clothing and checking the size (not by the label - just by its appearance) whether or not it will fit me. None at all - I'm usually several inches out. I think/hope that might come with time. Hopefully yours does too.

I pick up shirts now and I instantly think there's no way it will fit. haha

We went to a show over the weekend and I wanted a shirt. I asked for a XL and when I picked it up to look at I was like that's not fitting but I will get it for later. haha I went home and put it on and SURPRISE! It fit, a little tighter than I would probably wear because of my skin rolls but another 10 lbs and it will be perfect!

PS: I was a 3-5X depending on cut. So exciting to know I am almost out of the "X"s. haha

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
